Well the Government has been way to friendly with the Banks so far. Anyone suspicious that Tony Blair is now on the Board at JP Morgan? Not too mention Wall St. lobbyists tacking over US Government.
Anyone feel that new regulation on bonuses should be retrospective and the £ millions of our money they walked away with in bonuses should be clawed back? Who cares if those immoral executives go elsewhere there's plenty of better people who could take their jobs.
What about the fact that the largest institutions can borrow money for next to nothing from the BOE and do a number on our currency via a carry trade with Australia?
Too much benefit for banks and large investors and very little for benefit for the hapless tax payer financing it all. I still think it's a con. And I still think Fractional Banking has a lot to answer for. Why we can't print new debt free money to offset the credit contraction instead of borrowing from our future selves with interest I don't know. Basically what ever screws the majority and benefits a few is deemed best by the Government.0
