Rude E-bayer

Hi,

I have opened a Non payment dispute against a buyer who said they no longer wanted the item and refused to pay (quite rudely) when I said i would have to open a dispute to claim my fees back - she said 'no you wont I already have 2 strikes and if you do that I will get suspended!!' - I said that I had no alternative - also suggested if she perhaps offers to pay fees and then it could be resolved quicker.

Lots of e-mails later she then said as I was forcing her to pay she would pay on the 15th and pay more to make it worth my while as she has no money until then - explained I was not forcing her and did not believe she would pay on that date as she had already said she had no intention of paying (and also why would you offer more money if you do not want the item anyway!!) - I opended the dispute on 4th and did not hear anything until I go this e-mail today - ' take off post send me new bil and i pay it ok stupid '

Now i know she is offering to pay - but all I really want are my fees back - and really can't believe the e-mail she has sent and I know that if she pays she will leave bad feedback!!!

What is the best thing to do now? as I have never done a dispute before and don't really know where to go from here!! - I just want rid of this very rude person as I have never dealt with anybody like this before.

Any help appreciated!

many thanks

Jules

Keep dispute open, give her another strike. At least you'll get your FVfs back but whatever you do she can still leave a neg. Also make sure you set your seller preferences to exclude bidders with 2 strikes in the future.

  • Just to add as it may be a stupid question as I have never had to do a dispute before - how long do I leave it open for (it was opened on the 4th)? and when I close it does that give them the strike or do e-bay look into it - also are they able to give me negative feedback - sorry to sound a bit thick lol!!

It should show in your dispute console when you can close the dispute and reclaim your fees. Close it as soon as it says OK to do so.

At that point the buyer gets a strike automatically and you get your FVFs back. If buyer respsonds to the dispute then they can leave you feedback, if ti is closed before they respond they cannot leave you feedback.

In any case I would add the buyer to your blocked list.
They'll probably just open a new account if a 3rd strike lands in their current one, so arguably there's no point

  • You should name and shame too. Also somebody was able to leave me a negative after the npb had closed as theres no longer anything to respond to, just the option of pay now, and while I agree that its says they can't, they did, and ebay dont seem to want to remove it either so be careful.
Did you know you can get Viagra software now??? Yeah, it turns your floppy drive into a hard drive :D
  • Eh. The buyer sounds stupid. Don't reply, just keep the dispute open, and remember to block.

Even if she did pay up how much do you want to bet she'd open an item not received dispute
