I noticed the kittens poops firmed up when on hills but that may just be a coincedence, they dont resemble cow pats anymore but they still smell like egg!
none of the wet foods i've used stink the house out"I am an insomniac, so I was really excited when I was able to get a full night's sleep. I said to a friend, 'Just keep your fingers crossed that I get lucky again tonight!' Realizing what I said, I tried to correct it and said, 'No, I mean, I just hope that I get some tonight!' After that, I decided to shut up."0 -
ah that is a great idea! where should i put the food?
Do you know whether you have a visiting hedgehog(s) to your garden? If you do then leave some out in a bowl, alongside a bowl of water too as they'll be thirsty after eating cat biccies. They'll soon sniff them out and you'll find they will visit at the same time each evening in search of them.
Alternatively you can donate any food you can't use to a rescue, they would be eternally grateful for it!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
One of mine just cannot take the slightest trace of cows' milk. One taste of it and, a while later, you hear a rumbling sound and this vile slurry just explodes out of her. Even cat milk does this to her - but, strangely, she is fine with goat derived kitten milk (but I can't get it anywhere now, so she has to go without - much to her disgust, as she adores milk products)
Does your little one eat yoghurts/fromage frais, or have cookies with milk? It may be that the cookie is dunked before getting to the cat, or one spoonful of yoghurt goes to the child, one to the cat...
If this is the case, it may take a few days before you see a firming up, as it works its way out of the system.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

I have no idea! The back garden backs onto woods so i could try leaving some that edge?
What sort of time in the evening do you think they would appear?
Would they take an opened bag of biscuits though?"I am an insomniac, so I was really excited when I was able to get a full night's sleep. Rescues dont often take opened food - just in case
If you are going to use it to feed wildlife. may I suggest you take it into the woods to scatter - rats adore pet food0 -

When I wrote rescue I had in mind a wildlife rescue but yes, certainly donate to cat rescues too although as suki mentions, I doubt very much they'd accept open packs.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Again, suki's suggestion of scattering them in the woods is an excellent idea. All manner of creatures would be thankful for them. Hedgehogs start coming out around dusk so any time from late afternoon at this time of year.
They're almost on the verge of hibernation now though but there are still many underweight young ones that will benefit from extra food, otherwise they might not make it through the winter.
Unfortunately hedgehog numbers are in decline in the UK so they need all the help they can get from us!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

well i went to PAH, they dont have anything like the lacto stuff so i couldnt get that today, and i dithered between getting applaws dry again or trying him on the JWB as both are supposedly hypoallergenic, but i went for the applaws again, and cos its already mixed in with the food he's having at the moment i'll start feeding him on just that when we get through the applaws/purely mix. sigh. also picked up a couple of tins of applaws for him to try, which the checkout lady accidently forgot to scan, woops...
also had a look at the ingredients on the purely and couldnt see any cereals in it, and thats supposedly hypoallergenic too so i really dont know what he's reacting to now!Mummy to
