Play an order with them at the weekend using the lastest £30 off £60 spend. Paid by debit card and then got an email saying that credit had been refused. What's that all about??

I made an order for £28, using the £20 voucher.

Littlewoods took a payment of £28 from my account, but then sent me a payment of £20! How strange...

I placed an order when this first came out and it appeared to go through. the goods arrived at the start of the week and yesterday I received a statement and a letter packaged seperately. The statement said I wasn't owe anything and the letter said they couldn't send the items out as no payment had been received - bizarre!

    Thats just for littlewoods!!!!!!!!!!!
very rarely got sent codes to be honest, thats what I told them, I said because I never get sent any I just assumed I could use ones that had been sent to friends and family etc.
I also asked why the codes were accepted online and on the telephone if I was not allowed to use them, surely they should have been refused at the time of the order??

I was told before xmas thousands of accounts will be charged back, nice timing eh???What you going to do?

Id probably owe them thousands over all my accounts if they take the vouchers back

Im not sure yet, it took me all my time to calm my husband down to be honest lol!!
Both accounts over the past 2 years total £1130 which is a lot of money to me, I had the Empire Catalogue before they merged with Littlewoods and sold different stuff but they accused me of having multiple accounts just to use the same codes on each one which isn't true.

They have added to codes back to my accounts and reduced my credit limit to £o on both, I can't use them again until that part is paid back, I thought they would just spread it over so many weeks but they haven't.

Had good news this morning, as I am such a valued customer and have spent £x over that past 4 years regrdless of codes this instance will only be a warning but if I use another code not issued to me my account will be closed without warning and the full balance repaid.

Will check all codes in the future, really really lucky escape i reckon!!

Wow moemum! Thats shocking! I now never ever want to use Littlewoods or any of their associates- thats actually what I would call evil! They give you the discount on the phone, they send the item out having accepted the code, and then several months/years later they come to you with a bill?! Thats not just unacceptable, its seriously wrong, and before Christmas?!
Well if this is how they work, if these are their ethics, I don;t want to get mixed up with them, they're overpriced anyway which is why I'd never shop with them unless I had something like 75% off (then they'd match amazon/ebays prices), now I know theres no point in even looking!

Hi jenniewb, please don't think I was trying to panic or put anyone of using the codes that are posted everywhere,I have used them in the past with no problems....so far:)
I think what might have happened with person on Hot UK Deals post was they used loads of high value ones and was unlucky enough to have been checked?
Seems if you have never been a customer of theirs before its ok to use first order codes.
    Best wishes
