They wouldnt be able to reverse a refund down the line, they still need permission from the customer to take money from an account, theres no such thing as reversing a refund, it would be classed as a charge, and so the customer could just do a chargeback to claim it back again.0

thats what has happened to my sister! they are asking her for the order number but she got no confirmation email......what are they doing in your case?
well there not doing much at the minute,they havent asked me for an order number ,i have been moved to a lost payment specialist or something like that. she is looking into it for me and has said she will call me back before 4pm today. If not i am going to go mad on her tomorrow morning it has been terrible customer service and they never call back when they say they i will i have to phone them.:mad::mad:0 -

They agree for £25 discount as it comes up on website, they refund it, Surely if there was problems they should cancel the order or call the customer to explain and see if they want to pay full price. They cant decide 6 months down the line that they want £25 back as surely they wouldnt have a legal leg to stand on.
They can and they did.
I posted about the history of Littlewoods codes (and Martin Lewis having to step in) twice on this thread already. A link to the history behind the issue is there earlier in this thread, if anyone wants to consider the clear warning given at the time.
But I think the lure of the discount makes people read selectively.:rolleyes:
Good luck all, as they say 'you have been warned' now the decision to purchase anyway is up to you. Please don't come complaining on here in 6 months if and when Littlewoods take the £25 back. Martin has said he cannot intervene again on this matter.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

These are the terms and conditions from the woolworths page regarding promo codes. I know there was a big issue with littlewoods and misuse of codes and they did claim the money back from customers as it was regerded as theft! If anyone knows the origin of the code it is clearer whether it can be used by all or just the recipients of the code. Does anyone know how it was obtained?
2.3 Promotional codes are codes that enable customers to obtain benefits such as discounts, free delivery and free gifts. These codes are non-transferable so may only be used by the person to whom they are issued and must only be used in accordance with their terms and conditions of use. If you use a promotional code to claim a promotional benefit, you must first check that it was issued to you and that you are eligible to use it. By using it to claim a promotional benefit you will be confirming that:-
(i) you are entitled to use the code;
(ii) you meet all the conditions that apply to its use;
(iii) you agree to the terms set out below.
If, before accepting your order, we find that you are not entitled to use the code or do not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reject your order or alternatively process it without the promotional benefit being applied. If, after accepting your order, we find that you were not entitled to use the code or did not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reverse the benefit that you obtained. If you transacted on a cash basis e.g. by debit or credit card, we may take a further payment, equivalent to the value of the benefit obtained, from the card used. If you transacted on a credit basis, the value of the benefit obtained may be charged to your credit account.
Hmmm, don't think i'll chance it.0 -
