to all that batch cooking
It's easier to do it this way..... I can't fit anything else in the freezer now so I won't be looking for any bargains next week.
We didn't make any shortbread. The children (mine and a neighbours) were playing nicely, so I left them alone and did the ironing instead. They're both "grazers" so as long as I throw them some snacks, they're generally quite well behaved. The cat is shattered and has fallen asleep on the sofa while the children are having their dinner :rotfl:

Pitlanepiglet - Happy Birthday.
Just wanted to pop on and say hello. Am full of 'flu at the moment - could be piggy flu, could be seasonal flu. MSE and all your posts are keeping me going at the moment. My sum total of OSing today has been to wash the dishes and to wash dd school trousers ready for Monday. Have got just enough strength to sit upright at the computer - not good.

Hi everyone
Having a long weekend in Tunbridge Wells, having a lovely time, saw DS last night as he drove over to see us and will see him and GF tomorrow lunch (long story!!). Been made very welcome here, and just had a lovely lunch down in the Pantiles area. Must find more time to explore the area.
I too just get the url of the smilies, so wonder if it is a setting somewhere, Using Vista so is that relative at all??

Not had a bad day at all here. I went into town and looked at a new foundation - was given a lovely free sample to try first! I love customer service like that. Then, I went down the high street there was a woman promoting a certain chocolate bar with bubbles in and giving out free bars - oh chocolate joy!
When I went to get some rum to make my Christmas cakes with, I got asked for ID for only the second time in my life! I'll be 31 next birthday, so that makes me really happy
I've got a lot of sewing done this afternoon. (((hugs))) to those in need and have a nice evening everyone.

Hi all,and a
to anyone who wants or needs one.DH and DS2 seem to have just about got rid of their tummy bug, both had a normal tea today, though DH is still feeling the cold and has lit the woodburner.I am boiling, and keep going out to the bin or let the dog out to get cool.Fireworks have started though,so can't let him out for a while-we are lucky though that he is placid and calm and it doesn't seem to worry him too much.We just turn the telly up a bit.He doesn't like raised voices tho',we put that down to him being pre-owned but def not pre-loved,poor lamb.
Been to town this morning,to the fruit & fish market for lots of fruit & veg.I also got an organic salmon for £12-its huge. The fishmonger chopped it into steaks for me.I had to sort the small freezer out to get them in,but it needed doing. We had breakfast and a coffee on a new stall.
This afternoon I have been tidying the office/sewing/crafts room-smallest room in the house and it gets the untidiest.I didnt quite finish reorganising, but think I'll leave it now-DH says I can't sit still :rotfl:
Enjoy your Saturday evening,X Factor for us.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

I hope that you're having a great birthday Pitlanepiglet -:bdaycake:
DH and I have had a very lazy day as this last week has been soooo manic what with work, generally feeling run down etc. Our house purchase is coming along well, and we should (fingers crossed) exchange v v soon.
Last night we went to see my "boys" - Leicester Tigers - play against South Africa and they won. A lot of this: :j :j :j :j was going on!
OS wise, we're still trying to run down the stocks in the cupboards so that we don't have too much to move, when it comes to the crunch. However, tonight is fresh pasta and a fresh pasta sauce bought from the Co-op.
Have got my recipe books out again so that I can work with what I've got in the cupboards now.... Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 #18 £2021.83 declared0
