Number 172 reporting in with an overpayment update. It's been agggggeeeessss since I've been on here. Struggling with money a bit at the moment. Millions of hen do's and weddings to pay for, so wasn't sure if we would be able to make an overpayment this month. Managed £24.80! Not a large amount but better than nothing which is what I thought it would be! :j

Yep at least you're making an OP and staying focused! Well done considering current expenses.

No 15 reporting in paid £400 towards part 1 of the mortgage and £90 to part 2 of the mortgage. The total overpayment to date for June is £585. Trying to catch up from not making overpayments recently.

  • Number 57 here :o

Paid another £75.00 off to take the total since February to £7325.00 - I doubt I will make my 10% target as I under-estimated how expensive it is to own a property!!

    Still, every little helps!

    Cheers,
    Steve.

What started out a happy day has taken a turn for the worse in some respects. We've worked out that we can make the necessary £3,750 net payment to the mortgage on 01/07/10 so we're doing grand financially but I'm properly upset that my brother has stuck my mum in a proper financial hole, worsened by the greed of the local bank manager. She now owes £5,500 (that she guaranteed for my brother) to a training company for what was essentially a self study book that I very much doubt he never opened so she resolved to get a bank loan to pay the original loan off (as it is due to double on 01/07/10 if not paid in full - great deal that) but the bank have managed to talk her into getting another £1,000 on top to go on holiday and "forget about her troubles for a bit". Well done Lloyds TSB - the invisble hand pushing ignorant people closer to the edge...

OMG wynnvegas your poor mum!! You have more restraint than me though l'd have been round to have words with that bank manager by now

Hope it all works out, the last thing you need when you've paid your mortgage off is to have to help your mum out because of your brother.

    Families eh? :(

    Happy moneysaving all.
