  • this is all very well and good having to keep on waiting they have just sent me an offer of £364...as a goodwill gesture of course lol i been waiting since 2002 to hear back from the halifax bank and am still waiting to receive statements through post so i can calculate how much am really owed, believe me though damn sight more than the offer

    Under financial hardship they do not have to offer 100% of the claim. I do think you are right to say to them, provide the details first of all before making a decision. As a general rule, Halifax have been known to pay charges back only at the point that the account goes into collections. The funds are normally paid into the account where they came from so does it help alleviate your hardship?
