Fully accepted - and google as I did against your post, all the BBC reports I found said "judgement expected soon", legal beagles said "mid-November" - but all those are very recent - and I guess being recent (ie., we are near to a conclusion) can be trusted to that extent - we shall see.
I should have made myself clearer to be honest and say that it hasn't been reported on the BBC but it came first hand from the journalist and I have no doubt that it's true.0 -

Thanks for your clarification.
Probably better keeping to firm facts EXC. That way people don't get disappointed when dates pass.
After all, that was the point of Nattie's post when he expressed his frustration, quite admirably may I say, regarding Martin's newsletter update. Please ignore those people who post on this forum who deliberately try to misinform you. Don't be bullied by them, don't be blamed by them. You know who I mean.
You come here for advice, help and support- thats what I and like minded others will try to do.0 -
Yes, I remember seeing somewhere that the judgement from the supreme court was supposed to be at the end of October. There are a lot of wishy washy dates flying about. Would be best if people just reported the facts and not opinions based on facts.0

Does anyone know what's happening at the moment with the supreme court ruling. I have no idea what happens in civil courts. I take it they've heard all the evidence? Do they go to some quiet room to think weight evidence etc?
How many judges are there for this case? 0 -
It was speculation and not factual information with regards to the end of October.omcornwall wrote: »Yes, I remember seeing somewhere that the judgement from the supreme court was supposed to be at the end of October. They come to their verdict independently0 -
Thanks Natweststaffmember.
Further.
What is the process after hearing the evidence from either side? Do they go away, listen to other cases afterwards? What happens from finishing hearing evidence to making the judgement?
thanks0 -
They have other cases as well and they do not work on cases during the recesses ie from end of July to the beginning of October they did not work on any cases at all.omcornwall wrote: »Thanks Natweststaffmember.

They would make a decision and think about the law relating to each side and interpret their view of it as to whether the appeal could go forward(ie Bank wins) or whether the appeal is to be rejected(OFT win).0 -
banks are now seperate from the people of britain, they no longer connect with us in any way,the politicians are exactly the same,i feel that this case will drag on for a lot longer,i hope i am wrong,i fear for my country as i type this,i fear for its infrastructure and its financial wealth of its people, the law is a farce the courts are a joke, the polticians dont care and the banks rip us off, whos country is this, the high few in power or the 65 million others like you and me that make this country work
i never thoughT i would say the word revolution as i thought it was always a cliche and a thing that wolfy smith said in citizen smith, but now i say it

"REVOLUTION"
We are in a revolution already and it is being played in a court room. If I think of the possibilities that a positive decision could bring eventually I wouldn't have time to post on here.0
