DO NOT TURN IT ON.
Take off the cover, take out the battery and sim and put everything in the airing cupboard for a couple of days. Give it time to dry out.
Its worked for me before. When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0 -
Leave the phone in a bage of rice for a few weeks. This should dry out any moiusture0

Allow natural drying. Do not induced by using airing cupboard or radaitors.
All should be well in a couple of days0 -
Thre are many stories on here about phones coming back to life, but I wanted to add mine too coz it's a goodun
My friend and I got back from have a snowball fight in a field a few yrs ago and she realised she had lost her phone!!
We went straight back but it was dark by then and the phone would not ring out.
The next day we went and had another look and AMAZINGLY we found it :j on the top of a little hummock created by cows feet, it was just sitting there above all the pools of water in the footprints !!
Friend's husband assured her it was a gonner after having been sat in melting snow all night but she loved it and insisted it would dry out.
Sure enough, a few days later, having been sat in the aring cupboard, it worked  and still works to this day.0 -
do not put it on the radiator, you will ruin the chips inside the phone, they are not designed for that temperature, airing cupboard i guess is a better alternative, definately do not use a hair dryer though. Taking it apart might void any warranties, try searching by particular models on solutions using google
I think this is how the vodka soak works as it evaporates at a much lower temp than water.
Not sure that the OP hasn't made mind up, but if one was to inform company within the 14 days that the phone was not working and send it in for repair and got it repaired or replaced for free then they have not committed fraud etc!!!0 -
thanks so much for all the replies guys! feel so much better that it's not only me! don't have an airing cupboard, don't drink so no vodka but have lots of rice so will give it a go!
Will let you know if it starts working again!0 -
If using rice then, try putting in a sealed bag or tupperware container with it so the rice soaks the moisture from phone mainly and not the general atmosphere0

There are also companies that can claim to try and fix water damaged phones, when I enquired about this they said they put it into a high percentage liquid alchohol and that may work, I didnt try it because I wanted a new phone and tht was a good excuse to get one0
