Sorry, slight digression here but you are kind of on the subject...
One of my loans is with Alliance and Leicester (defaulted on, only paying token monthly paymens at mo, not able to CCA them as only took out loan early 2008 ) and my current account is with Abbey. They are both joining as one to be Santander from January so does this mean that I should be on the look out for (yet another!) new current account due to RoSo?Sorry for slightly off the topic question
Yes mate - they can dip into other accounts within the same banking organisation so be careful and move accounts lol.....
Re the loan of 2008, just ignore them and soon they'll go away lol2010 - year of the troll

Hello
I am new to this i will apply for a subject access request from Halifax for full details however i currently have a halifax gold CC. I forst took this out in 2003 and it was a Visa, they have since changed it to a Mastercard i hope that doesnt affect it. A while ago i request my CCA from Halifax which i got but they sent me two one for the address my agreement was orginally taken out and another for my new address i moved into last year. Both the copies i received are unsigned and i definately did not get a new one when being moved from Visa to MC or when moving house. would there be a high likelyhood that this could be unenforceable and if so what am i to look for on the the CCA to confirm this and the rest of the documentation when i receive it?
Thanks

Mate are you 100% sure you know what is going to happen next and the repercussions of not paying this debt etc? If so then why are you talking about paying back a bank account? It will get defaulted as well, so what! You may as well 100 of them as one - safe effect (long term) so pointless worrying.
I cannot answer what is best, what I do know is i'd not take the approach you're doing if my credit file was clean - but then you do say that you cannot afford the repayments so maybe your hand is being forced.... :beer:2010 - year of the troll

Do not send a SAR - pointless (costs £10 - CCA costs £1)..... But I suppose due to the change of cards etc it may well be money worth spending....
You check the prescribed terms, as detailed on page 1 of this thread!2010 - year of the troll

Yeah i do understand the repercussions and your right my hand is being forced. I just thought my bank account would be different with no unenforceabilty to quote them like i have with my credit card.
Just not sure what happens when my bank account goes into default.
Thanks once again NID for taking your time to answer all my questions. I really do appreciate it.0 -
