Oberon, no YOU get the Food hygiene cert, not the premises. Its fairly simple course, much of it obvious.
Is it like an indoor market / lock up shop? What do you sell? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I am the proud owner of K1 Specialist Wool Centre, purveyor of yarn & crafty stuff. At 25 I'm the youngest woolshop owner in the world. I have a lockup type shop built into a market hall, fronting onto the high st. At least I do now, they're talking about knocking it down so they can sell the land to Asda.
Well girls & boys, been a fairly busy day at work - despite temperatures that have made the old ladies sweat - you have never looked into Hell until you have been confronted by a heavily perspiring 80 year old who looks like a damp prune - and having to compete with the footy. DD was an absolute star, and I only overspent a bit by going to Spar after work for pitta bread and dips for tea.
Am ebaying my piggins tonight, been collecting for a year or so, but I never look at them any more, and I'd rather have the cash back to pay someone off. Paid £330 off a debt today, not the 500 i promised, but near as dammit and I hope to get another 400 their way next week, so hopefully that will be fine. Looking forward to a day off tomorrow, I'm having to consider a nursery for at least 1 day a week for DD. At 15 months she needs other kids to play with, and to be honest I could do with at least 1 day a week I can go to work and not spend half the day tidying up after her, making sure she's not destroying things and getting stood on by stupid old women who can't see a small child right in front of them. I love her to bits, but it's incredibly difficult running a business, working as a shop assistant 6 days a week and trying to keep an eye on a very active toddler at the same time.
Well, I'm off to get my pigs ebayed, hope everyone had an excellent and inexpensive day. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

I salute your humour in tough times :T your an inspiration.
Any chance you can get your beloved ex- to cough up for the daycare fees?
Also to say a cheaper option is leaving her with a childminder for the one day a week, significantly cheaper and she will still have the option of being with other kids in a more "play" based setting which is what she'll benefit from at her ageMOst childminders Ive come accross have 3-4 kids at various points through the day, so this might be a good option for her, and less overwhelming

hah! He-Who-Must-Be-Poked-With-Sharp-Sticks isn't working, and is living at the YMCA because he's using his depression as an excuse to not get off his !!! and do something. I haven't asked a penny off him in the divorce, as I know that I'll never see any money anyways, and it's not worth the hassle. Told him if he really wants to contribute he can open a savings account for her and then when she's 16 she can buy herself some penny chews......
Never thought of childminders - the nursery I was going to enquire about is a good one locally, and charged £23 per day, including lunch & snacks. Never thought about childminders, as thought they might be more expensive. Still at the enquiry stage tho, but my gem of a Thursday Night minder is considering re-registering (she was a childminder before she moved to the area, but never registered here) and if she does Alyx will go to her, cos she's brilliant with my snotty little tyke (She's got a cold)This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

23 a days not bad actually, although I might be a bit londoncentric there!
You could ask at your local childrens information service based in your council as they have to keep a register of childminding vacancies and rates. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I will do that on Monday I think, that will save me a lot of phoning around! Thanks! Still on with ebaying my piggins, why did I buy so many?? Plus cameras taken some dodgy pics of them, so visit the official site to 'borrow' some images to find it shut down, as that company are no longer producing them! Maybe it's a good thing I'm selling them off then. Updating my Big List O' Debt (c) and that makes me happy. Like seeing those numbers going down, down down! This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Cheque's in the post Pobby!
Bit sad isn't it really - things that make us DFWs happy. Watching numbers going down, making endless spreadsheets, cackling like hags over our precious stash of £2 coins............
We should get out more. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
