Have been MIA as my pc died the other night...not sure yet if I can fix or will have to dig deeply into pocket and buy a new one....thinking might just buy lap-top nobody else uses it...any advice appreciated.
Using DD3's lap-top to-night, finding it very slow so will just say hugs to all, especially to Jayne and George, welcome to any newbies, be back to-morrow if i can devote the time to this slow gadget.

    Evening All

I have been such a busy bumbler today! After my dalliance last Sunday with Mystery Shopping I went a bit 'job-happy' today and booked myself up for seven...yes SEVEN bloomin jobs! Luckily 5 were in the same shopping centre and a breeze to do the other two were a bit of a drive away but it filled the day in for DH DD and me and hopefully will throw a few pennies our way. While in the shopping centre I went to Argos and bought a free standing mixer that was on offer - I used a gift card that had £3.03 on when tidying the drawers last week and I received a £10 one for filling in surveys.

DH is a bit under the weather today - sore chest and cough and DD looks like she's a bit peaky so we'll see what tomorrow brings. I have to take DS1 to work for 11 in the morning and pick a few bits up from Lidl on the way back and then i'm hoping for a bit of a lazyish day...well as lazy as it can get with 5 kids in the house!

Well nearly my bed time - early start with DD whether I like it or not!

    Sleep Well!

meanmarie, if you're thinking laptop, (or even if you're not) I'd certainly say give a MacBook consideration. I changed over going on for a year ago. It is a different system to Windows etc but in my opinion not having to worry about viruses etc is soooooo liberating. I know lots of people object to the cost of Macs but I have to say I've not regretted the outlay for one second.

Not been posting, don't feel I'm OS enough at the moment :o Hugs to all in need.

Forgot to say, convinced DH to replace his old laptop with a MacBook. After the first day of the air being blue, he has finally admitted it's the best decision he has ever made :rotfl::T
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

MSD - Still praying for you and Tristan...hoping he recovers well from his surgery.
JackieO - Fingers crossed for DGS's 2nd interview.
Taplady - Hope you feel a bit better tomorrow... ;)
Ladyshopper and RosyRed - Hope your DSs are better soon!
Bitsy - I love your smilies...especially the Friday dance (definitely made me smile!! :p)

Hugs to all who are "fighting" the NHS (especially Molly and NPM) - I am not a nurse, and have never worked in this field, but my Mum worked as a nurse for nearly 40 years, and was eventually retired through ill-health (brought on by the stress of 2 people covering for 6 people's jobs - due to ill health cover, maternity cover, sabbatical cover, etc) so I can sympathise...I well remember my father having to go in with my mother at weekends to help clear her filing build-up - she worked Monday-Friday officially but they spent many weekends in the office "fire-fighting" the paperwork!!!

OS for me today is still sketchy...(so still feel a fraud for posting here :o, but am posting anyway, in the hopes that all your good deeds rub off on me and I become more worthy of my place on this board!!). I am back in London for tonight (drove back last night and am going back up to Mum and Dad's tomorrow morning!). Dinner tonight was spinach and chickpea curry (using up a curry base and a bag of spinach from the freezer and a couple of tins of chickpeas and a tin of tomatoes from the cupboard). I left M&D with a cottage pie for lunch today and pea & ham soup and a sandwich for dinner (they are trying to eat the main meal in the middle of the day at the moment, because Mum is not so mobile!). I am driving back tomorrow morning (with a car full of bits and pieces to make the eventual house-move easier!). They have lunch for tomorrow ready to re-heat, and some leek and potato soup in the fridge for the evening, plus plenty of sandwich material, so they shouldn't starve! However, I intend to be back with them before lunchtime...(I felt so sorry for Dad today, as they had 4 lots of visitors for Mum, so he was knackered with making cups of tea and playing host...that has been my job until today, so I think it hit him hard...! :rotfl:).

PitlanePiglet - Happy Birthday for tomorrow! :D

Hugs to all who need/want one...
