Boots ootw 13 November

in my store this weekend they had lods of them with a poster that ootw is extended and you can still buy them for £26... but no one was interested at all... i bet they will end up with lots of them left even with putting them on ootw again...
Well it serves Mr B right for being greedy! Remember, even if the price is reduced to £20 on 26th December, the 3 for 2 usually stops. So it's a good deal if you just want the one, but nothing like it was supposed to be.
It was a much better idea in previous years, when it was always half price or better, and 3 for 2, but the good thing is ................. what's left over now, means there'll be much more in the 75% sale! :j
That's when the fun really starts! Staying up all night, waiting for the dot com sale to start, refreshing, clicking, filling your basket, getting as far as checkout, only to find your basket has mysteriously emptied ............. some people on here did that 3 nights running in January.
Especially those with little 'uns that couldn't physically get to a sale at their local store. And if you could, boy, it was fun! People swiping everything off shelves, blocking the aisles each end with pushchairs, phoning friends for reinforcements, fights breaking out, the police called ..................
Such tales to tell your Grandchildren!

Boots are on Pigsback
They're also on kidstart which seems to be a good way of putting money aside for anyone who has children, rather than cashback for yourself.

Well, there was a points event last week when the Elle 3for2 was on. Only 1000pts though.
Did anyone notice that on the shopping evenings you didn't earn an extra 1200 points as the adverts would have you believe but 1000 extra on top of the 200 you would receive anyway? I emailed Boots about this, and it seems they've changed their advertising to make you think you get 200 points more than last year, when in fact you get the same.
They always used to advertise the "extra 1000 points" so I was duped into thinking they'd increased it this year.
Still a very good offer though IMO.

It is the No 7 Ultimate Collection as previously said in this thread.
Was £60.00 now £40.00 and it is on 3 for 2 - but only reduced by one third..
It has a note attached to it saying
"Important information - This offer will differ from a previous communication you may have received. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Offer ends Thursday 19th November."0 -
definatly is only a third off, £60 down to £40.
just wondrd where people have seen that boots guarenteed that OOTW would be at least half price?0 -

Mr Boots has seen very little of me in recent months, & with these pathetic ootws I have not bothered to go to the shopping nights either.
Now Boots is trying to fast talk itself out of a guarantee made in writing to customers. I'm asking myself:
How many of the ootw have there been?
how many single items have been 50% off?
How many single items have had a smaller reduction?
Have any been 'better' than half price?
Seems to me that Mr Boots is just weaseling. :undecided
Still, I've saved lots of money by ignoring the un-special offers.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
I'm soooo annoyed at Boots worming their way out of honouring their OOTW guarantee. I would have bought 3 of this weeks offer but I'm not going to now due to the price.
Not fair Mr B, sort it out...:mad:0
