pinkshoes - i was on cilest bc. i did miss a few days in the pack in Sept so this could explain it.

A few missed pills in a month would easily explain the pregnancy

    Congratulations though!

Mrs Tine, sorry to hear about your miscarriage! No pregnancies for me so far in 10 years, so I guess it's working for me. I seem to hear of SO many people with surprise pregnancies whilst on the pill at the moment, but most of them are turning out to have explanations behind them, which puts me slightly more at ease :D

A friend of mine had a "surprise" pregnancy whilst taking pill religiously, but turns out she'd not read the instructions on some antibiotics...

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • Congratulations!

It's a long time since I had to do any nappy-changing, but have you thought of using 'real' nappies? The outlay is quite high to start with, but you can re-use them for any subsequent children, so is cheaper in the long run and MUCH better for the environment.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton
  • ^ my mother used 'real' nappies on my siblings and I so I figure I will go down the same route to save on costs.
