  • I'm surprised there isn't a queue of people at your door. If the charity shops won't accept it (again I'd be surprised if they didn't, even if they didn't want to sell it surely one of the ladies would know someone who'd like a free telly), just stick a 'free to good home' message in your local shop window, should be gone in a flash.

Have you phoned your local hospital? They often want TVs for wards so that patients don't get bored.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • Try the old fashioned way in your local papers' under a £xx free ads and list it as free (or a tenner people are suspicious of free stuff) "Can be seen working" "Buyer collects" etc. etc.
You would be amazed at the number of (relatively poor) people who are still internet illiterate.

and? not one of the TV's in my house uses its own tuner now
    so hardly an issue
  • However the sponsors of the annoying little Martian fellow on the telly, are encountering an amazing number of grotty old boxes that the aged and handicapped users expect to be tuned into the "new" service with the usual problems of getting a good reception.

Perhaps we should have a telly scrapage scheme like the car one - after all the tellys are imported these days too.
