* Your item is legal and in accordance with eBay's Listing Policies and User Agreement. It obviously wasn't, otherwise ebay wouldn't have pulled the auction.
Ebay told you about it... but was it an ebay employee giving you a specific response, having digested all the details of this case, or was it a cut-and-paste standard ebay email?
Personally, I wouldnt' count on ebay's protection here, because I really think you don't qualify. (see above)
I hope mbna comes through for you.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
ok so a lot of happened and i feel i need to share it all.
firstly the person involved is [name deleted as there might be light at the end of the tunnel]
I would not recommened in dealing with this guy in anyway.
Other advise
1. Never use nochex (always use paypal)
2. Always check the person has brought as the number of feedback means nothing if all they have done is buy super cheap items to get more feedback.
I havent got my money yet but i have reported him to the police and raised disputes as well as my credit card are going to try and get the money back but i have to wait another 2 weeks for that.I have finally acknowledged my debt.....0 -
Not wishing to sound too critical of you Phil but I take it was for the Microsoft Office disc(s)? I had one glance at some of his previous listings here and it seems fairly obvious that they're copies....and the only other thing he seems to have "sold" are Nokia 8800 mobiles...all to "buyers" who all now mysteriously appear to be no longer registered with ebay...wonder why?
Weird thing is he's still registered but not selling anything now..maybe that 1 neg calling him a conman has something to do with that.
I doubt very much you'll get any joy at all with ebay anyway but I wish you good luck with the credit card company :money: !0 -
it now may appear that the real person has contacted me and he has been away for a few weeks and his paypal / ebay and bank account have been hacked.
So i will keep everyone updated...I have finally acknowledged my debt.....0 -

Please don't believe a word of it! This person has only been registered with eBay since the end of May so there was nothing to hack...
Look at his feedback, it is all for buying freepost items for 1p each!!!!
Your best bet is a chargeback with MBNA, don't hold your breath over this fraudster!!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
