    Hi Ivyleaf
Thanks for asking about DS other than driving me up the wall he is fine he has his first appointment at CFCS next week and we had a call from the new school at 6ish the other night:eek: to say that they have secured a place for him on the Btec public services course and his other option will be PE which has made us all very happy he wont be doing another option as he needs to catch up with all his subjects as he has had no proper schooling for 2 months. He has to got to meet the staff tomorrow so hopefully back to school mon:j

LOL! just listening to an article on WOman's Hour, someone talking about making soup, using quality ingredients and not using it as a dustbin! LOL! "don't use anything that has been left at the back of the fridge for a week! She does however advocate good stock.

Hi, Thankyou for all your kind thoughts. The man killed was Nicholas Webster Smith - he was one of the five killed in Afghanistan. He didnt have the chance to defend himself. He leaves behind a devastated family including two brothers and a sister. Like you my thoughts today are with his parents and family and all those who have lost loved ones in the armed forces. It brings it home so closely when it affects people you know and who are very similar in ages to your own family.

What a week and i havent had the motivation or energy to do any OS really. Dinners have been adhoc and Ive lost the will to even try. Lets hope that it comes back to me soon. Ive got this meeting tomorrow with work about my future so psyching myself up for that.

Hugs to those who need it...
    Love Mollyx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Hi all, quick one from me today as I'm off out in a mo to town-have my haircut, get little nieces birthday pressie and go to the bank.DH came home from work early yesterday and although they went this morning to do some essentials, they are back now as he has been feeling rough with a dodgy tum.Its also a bit risky working on a roof when its torrential rain like we've had the last couple of days.Hopefully the tiles will have arrived today so the tilers can start tomorrow if its a bit drier.
Tea will be hm beef curry (yesterdays beef casserole turned into a beef curry after DS1 said he would prefer it).I also made the flatbreads Sunnygirl posted the other day,and they went down well-thanks SG!

Molly-so sorry about Nicholas, and the others.Condolences to all forces families who have lost a loved one.Sorry about your little pet too.
Janiebaby- hope the injection helps with your pain.
Diva-laughing at the thought laptop is the first thing Tris asks for.Hope he's ok today.
Happy Birthday Betheebee, have a good one.
    PP-hope youre OK.x

3.38 and then offline . Glad your clock worked . I was first in the egg & spoon race once :)

    Was that really necessary

    Afternoon everyone

Still feeling rubbish here, cold has gone to a cough which has kept me up all night.

Not done much - have made filling for steak plate pie & just about to make the pastry - oh & 1 load of washing. Need to pop to the library and the chemist but apart from that nothing else as I really want to get over this cold.

No Bonfire night fireworks for us, DD is babysitting and I dont fancy standing outside in the cold, think it is really only OH who enjoys it after the first couple of fireworks.

So will probably light the fire and have a night in front of the telly.

Whatever you are doing enjoy yourself.
    x

Molly one of our neighbours sons was killed by friendly fire a couple of years ago, they have a permanent memorial in their garden my thoughts are with all our troops and their families.

Another bored Discussion Time/Moneysavers Arms poster I think

I'm back from my Mum & Dad's now. The digibox is sorted out for them & I did a pile of ironing for Mum while I was there. She'd made a lovely chicken & veg soup and crusty bread for lunch so it was the least I could do ;):D I am working up to doing my own ironing now though. I keep getting distracted by meal plans and other such things so I'm going to get the radio on and go for it ............ soon I promise
