Perhaps not their greatest hour then....!
I shiver at the thought of the ID database - it is going to be more holy than blessed Swiss cheese! :rotfl:0 -
CAT-THE-FIFTH wrote:BTW,if you happen to buy a Dell use Quidco which I think gives a 5% cashback or Pigsback which will give points which you can eventually get vouchers with. I think that Quidco will be the better deal though!!
Wat do u mean when u say Quidco ..and Pigsback are they vendors for Dell or something.....0 -
Quidco is a cashback site and if you buy through a link on their site you get cashback since Quidco get paid a referral fee by Dell
Quidco will only charge you a one-off fee of 5 quid from your first referral(s) - many people use it and you should check out the forums on this site about it.
Pigsback is similiar but you collect points which can be used for vouchers.0 -

Both systems have a single core processor whereas the Dell has a dual -core one.
Basically this is the same as having two physical processors.
Also the graphics cards in both the machines are FAR lower in performance than the ones in Currys and PC world that you listed.
Also for the 50 pounds extra cost of the first system you should be able to get a very cheap laser or a decent home inkjet printer
Ths specs of the PCs you found are good but you can get better for the money.
The only advantage is that you can pick up the computers in store0 -
Go for a Dell. They use decent parts and can sell it for cheaper than you can buy the individual parts for. Many people who used to build their own now buy from Dell for that reason.0

Ok...I think I am gonna go for a DELL despite the bad feedback I have heard about them....other than the link CAT-THE-FIFTH sent is there any good DELL deals ...?
Cheers0 -
Dell also have a "deals" page, but the best bargains usually get snapped up quickly. I'd don't know the URL off the top of my head, but I'm sure somebody else here does.0

I can't seem to find any great offers on the dell website....urghhhh0
