Electric Saver Device? Sounds like a Con...

France charges for the electricity supply in multiples of 3kVA from 3kVA to 36kVA so you can save money in France by adjusting your power factor. The UK suppliers provide at least 16kVA to most domestic properties at the same price no matter how much you use.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Do you really not understand?
It doesn't matter what KVA is supplied to a domestic property as the electricity meter measures in kWh.
I suspect you are just determined to get these useless devices marketed.
Have you not Googled and read that they are a scam?0 -

Ironically I saw a website that had discontinued selling them, and they were priced at £30 odd, so it appears that the less credibility they have, the more expensive they become.
Funny world.Never ever give your card details to anyone over the phone, and check the reputation of any company you do intend to give them to.0 -
I wonder if its down to power factor that devices like the Owl tend to measure higher that your electricity meter.
Anyone got a circuit diagram? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

My cheap power meter measures both Watts and volt/amps - just toggle between the the two readings.
It also shows the Power Factor(toggle between Hz and PF)
As an experiment I have just measured a toaster and kettle and, as you would expect with a resistive load, the Watts and volt amps were just about the same and Power factor was 0.99.
However the Freezer(put to fast freeze) gave readings of 110w and 137va with a PF of 0.81!0 -
i will send you a elctric saver power factor thing and you can test it if they are only £30 i nearly payed £150 i will buy it for you were do you get them for £30 lol0

Compared with some, yours was a bargain Harryunit should cost no more than £250 + VAT + installation.
Installation !!
Considering one of my mains electric shocks was from trying to remove a plug by gripping all three plug prongs, maybe I shouldn't even be allowed to plug and unplug equipment, but installing a plug is overdoing it a bit.
Like space hoppers and frizbees they're all the rage just now but will disappear as quickly as they came.Never ever give your card details to anyone over the phone, and check the reputation of any company you do intend to give them to.0
