Lol. Be to expensive how many rolls would you use i'm sure that way it would take years to re coup the cost. Also what about radio and tv reception?
One tip to stop putting foil on the bottom of the dishes if you can wash them right after cooking while they are still hot the fat will come off no problem0 -
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of a 'Powertune Electric Saver'? I had seen a large billboard up in my town advertising the savings that can be made using it. I'm not sure about it though, seems dodgy to me... If it really works so well why haven't I heard of it before?
Can't post links, but more info at: www . fuelsaverni . co . uk / Powertune . html
Thanks!

You are getting confused I think. The powertune electric saver which is the subject of this thread is not a V Phase!
The powertune is simply a device(a capicitor) that supposedly corrects the 'power factor'.
It will have no effect on a domestic electricity bill as customers are billed on the kWh they consume - not kVa.
Your V phase is a voltage optimisation device that reduces the house voltage - typically to around 220 volts.
This will give some savings - but in the main only on motors/compressors(fridges) etc. As Ohms law still applies! it will save nothing on heating, lights will be dimmer etc.
There have been several threads on devices like V phase and many believe that the savings will be minimal and it will take a long time, if ever to recoup your outlay.
However if you have bought such a device, I suspect you will disagree and provide 'proof' that will satisfy yourself!
I visit the USA a lot and my laptop runs happily on 115 volts - but believe it or not it still uses the same power!!!!!!0 -
yes so if the light was switched on for 6 hours a day it would save about £0.50 per year:T:beer::j
2*6*365/1000*.12p
So spend £198 to save £0.50 a year, brilliant:j
Where do I sign up?
