i have read your advice on bank charges. is there no way to get charges back from loan companies?0

You can claim some charges from a loan account, obviously not the interest but late payment fees will come under this.

I own properties which are let. Due to the financial situation I have a nett income after mortgages on these properties of only £12,000.00 per year. Is this my gross income for means testing or is the gross income before mortgages and other expenses my gross income? I can find no guidance.
Also because I am self-employed and my hours are irregular do I put down an average of, say 0ne to 15 hours a week?0 -

for more general help in the use of vBulletin, have a read of the User Help which is in the green bar just above this thread, but I have to agree its not particularly obvious if you aren't used to forums.

Is there any way to include Wales in the House Price calculator. Is Wales similar to any other area listed in the tool? I'd be really grateful for some help by the MSE team on this one. Thanks0

Hi Martin and team
Thanks for pulling together such a fab site.
I have a question though that I could not readily see an answer to. I had a bad experience with an online retailer that has (considering feedback on this site and others) a suprisingly high google ranking. With hindsight I am sure I broke some of your golden rules in paying money to this company.
However, I had a thought that responses albeit very unhappy customers might perversely be adding to the company's google ranking that had foolishly led me to think they were reputable. I read this interesting article and wonder whether your site takes the precaution to prevent search engines giving weight to bad comments as I see some US feedback sites do. SOmething about “rel=nofollow” to anchor tags.
(can't give link as a newbie)
Apologies if all is in place and I just missed the post. Grateful for any clarification you can give
Thanks again
Ben0
