Thanks.BE may not be available LLU on your exchange. What are your other LLU options? Either check on samknows.com or post the name of your exchange and someone will advise.
Yes, you will need a MAC to go from Madasafish to Plusnet. They are both ultimately owned by BT, but run independently.
Just typed my postcode and under broadband availability, the only green tick is next to ADSL enabled.
Is that what you mean?
Are my options very limited then?0 -

Go to exchange search, post what is listed under 'LLU Operator Presence'. Or just tell us your exchange name...No free lunch, and no free laptop

If no LLU, then Plusnet Value is your best option at £11.99. Quidco cashback is available, 1st 3 months £5.99.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Plusnet are good, we have had no problems and they are good value and were helpful when we had problems with our router. Shame you can't get the £5.99 a month.
10GB is fine for browsing, a few downloads etc. Unless you do lots of downloading of music/films etc. it will be fine. Each GB extra is only £2 if you do go over I believe.0 -
I don't believe this is required. I went from Metronet (another Plusnet brand) to Plusnet by just contacting Metronet via their online help service and they changed it.
One point to note. It changes at the end of your billing cycle so on that day you need to change the log in details in your router.
I was very pleased with Metronet and Plusnet have been fine as well.
Unusually for a consumer product you have access to support people who "actually know what they are talking about".
As far as the original enquiry goes. I believe you can also set a spend limit with Plusnet. If you don't want to go over paying for 10GB you can set the account not to buy any extra data.
If you exceed the bundled data the connection goes slowly for the rest of the monthly billing cycle and you then go back to full speed on your next 10GB for the next month.0 -
Hi
I've looked at plusnet too. I am with tiscali, soon to be talk talk and looking at moving.
I tried 3 times to speak to someone at Plus Net yesterday but got "all our operators are busy". This rang alarm bells with me because if I can't get hold of them as a new customer going through to sales, what hope have I got as an existing customer if I have a problem.
I was looking at their 80mb package with free calls.
After weighing up all the options, I'm only going to be better off by £40 per year swapping to someone other than talk talk and for such a miserly saving I think its not worth the hassle of changing broadband provider.
The other ISP I was considering was Virgin Media. I have until 18 March to decide so I will make a decision by then.
Good luckThe Cabbage
