OK fair do's; only Equifax is my friend at the moment, so I shall look at a Silver card from Sygma in six to nine months, get some prime in my wallet :D

/thinks NID should really lay off the apply button and find something better to do :o

Perhaps you all ought to lay off hi-jacking other peoples threads and start your own "spouting crap" thread!

Oh come on lighten up it's just a bit of innocent banter.

I thought all the overly serious telling people what to do is what came accross as offensive?

Make your mind up; certainly accusing people of spouting crap rather than being constructive is a much greater waste of our time that trying to have a bit of a joke with a fellow member!

Anyway, OP knows what he needs to do.

Escalate the call to Halifax to a TM demanding they do a manual transfer to Vanquis and if not, pay off the Vanquis card with cash and use the Halifax card for the groceries etc that he would have otherwise used the cash for.

We've already said this many a time so there's no panic ;)

  • Yes and you also overlooked the fact that he has allready done a balance transfer with the Halifax card.

Well there's not anything else that can be done then is there??

OP has already pointed out his Halifax limit isn't high enough to do another transfer or spend more,

OP has also pointed out he can't get a card from anywhere else.

The only avenue left is to grin and bear it with the Vanquis interest and pay it off as quick as possible. If there's a balance on the Vanquis card after his sixth' Halifax statement, he can ask Halifax for a limit increase to transfer it over.

There's nothing else that can be done considering OP has already made it clear his score is now too low to get out another card, I would suspect this has something to do with searches as well as potential adverse, to apply elsewhere would IMHO be a futile endeavour further lowering his score.

But that's already been covered in previous posts :o

  • Calm down chaps - we're all allowed to have a laugh and to be fair, the OP aint been back!

    Moneysavingmarrow,

For the record izools actually provides a lot of useful help so your rant is quite off-hand to be fair - just chill out a bit! We're all one big happy family on MSE remember! ;););)

  • Do I take it that you know how much he paid off the Cap 1 card and how much he owes Wanquis and how much of the £700 limit he has left with the Halifax?
