Thanks for the input NID. Now I shan't steal the OP's thread any longer, but shall we agree that if I post anything about criteria in future I will "Fluff" if a bit?
And now for the contradicting myself comes in - I've got three new accounts opened within the last year, not on the electoral role, AND had four credit searches on Equifax in the last six months and I was STILL given a 6.9% LOB offer on the Barclaycard I applied for yesterday!
Hehe, the rules certainly are fluffy and flexible. And as you and I both know, easily manipulatedCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

People i know i made a mistake using the vanquis card and not paying off the balance in full, but im not here to be told that. I know i have made a mistake. I just need help people not to be criticize for a mistake i know i have made. I have just tried to do a manual transfer to vanquis but halifax said i cant do it. Is there any other to transfer the balance. I have read people taking about credit cards that pay into your bank account. Can anyone list them and the easiest one to get accepted for. Or any other way to get the balance transfered.
PLEASE JUST HELP NO CRITICISM. THANKS !!!!!
I still can't understand what help you are looking for?
Nobody here can repair your credit history overnight and this fact alone is the reason you cannot get anything higher with someone other than a sub prime lender.0 -
what are you talking about repair my credit history.......i didnt ask anyone to help with that. i have never had bad credit history i never had any history. The reason why i got a vanquis and a capital classic but i spend a bit too much on the vanquis and wanted to balance transfer the amount to the halifax with 0% like i did with my capital one so i could have the capital and vanquis debt on one card. so i can pay off the debt and get rid of the vanquis and capital one. So that why im asking for help before everyone starts saying what i have done wrong . When they don't know the facts ?????0

seems neverindoubt has hijacked the thread because they like preaching how they are always right and everyone is wrong: They know so much about banking industry!!! Umm
Lets not rant about how lenders see debt at 3 and 6 years shall we just offer are advice to the OP.
Ok it was silly to borrow money on the vanquis card end of lecture.
How much is your debt on it?? Is it more than the £700 limit of the halifax?
How much of halifax limit have you used if any?
Have you tried getting halifax to do a manual transfer as said vanquis don't like balance transfers?
If it possible for your to clear the vanquis card with cash and the use the halifax card to pay for products and services you need? Robbing peter to pay paul if you if like but it gets your debt on the 0% card so we achive what we want?0 -
I joined this site for support as I am trying to get rid of my debt but judging by the way people have replied to this thread I would get more sympathy from my bank manager and he certainly aint my number one fan. I can't understand what this guy has done so wrong all he wants to do is transfer a high interest cc debt to a 0 per cent cc debt to pay it off quicker yet he is just being spoken to like a naughty child. You people have no right to jump on ur high horse and start making people feel bad. We all make mistakes I'm sure even u saints have made one or two in ur lifetimes. In my opinion if u can't help and all u can do is criticise maybe try not saying anything. I'm pretty sure u wouldn't like it if we all started criticising things u have done that u regret.0

O.K. Dansmith1.
Number one rule is never ever ever ever spend on a card which has balance transfers on it, unless the card specifically has balance transfer and interest free purchase promotion periods which run for the same amount of time, or you would clear the complete balance when the shortest promotion period expires.
I see that you say you have transfered a balance from Cap 1 to your Halifax allready, so DO NOT SPEND on it.
If Vanquis will not accept money from the Halifax, then I would suggest that the only other option is to transfer the amount needed direct to your bank account if they will and then pay Wanquis of from there.
Halifax may even send you some cheques to use with your promotion one of which could be used for the job in hand, either to put cash into your current account or to send one to Vanquis.
Halifax seem quite keen to me to get their money out there and borrowed to earn a bit of dosh for theirselves.0 -

Actually, I don't and never preached anything - I simply stated some facts and yea, considering i've done 5 years in banking fraud and successfully had 50+ defaults removed i'd say I have a clue what i'm talking about - funny that, how people use my advice then pop up a few weeks later thanking me for getting their default etc removed or their debt made unenforceable innit?
Study my posts, check the data out then come back and tell me i'm wrong - be my guest!
I don't need to prove anything to you, just see my previous posts which I think you'll see speak for themselves!2010 - year of the troll
