Blackberry or Iphone

I am now ready to upgrade/change my contract and have been offered by my network an N97 but am looking at either getting an Iphone or a Blackberry and am trying to work out the pro's and cons with each, is there much different between the 2 or are they relatively similar in terms of features?

  • It's down to personal taste really - if the applications are important to you then really the iPhone is the only way. If e-mail is important then go with the Blackberry...

    Yes.

There are thousands upon thousands of websites with this information though.

    You're just being lazy.
  • Which do you think is the best phone between the Blackberry and Apple iPhone?

Some people say the Blackberry is better for people who just want to phone, text, email and surf the net, but it's awkward and small for big fingers.;) Others say the Apple is more suited to people who want to play games etc; that you can access more stuff on there; it has more memory and is easier to use, but is more of a 'toy' than a Blackberry is.

    Thoughts anyone?

Oh that's funny - I thought this was an information board where people could ask advice from the public! You know, UNBIASED opinions and all that!!

You obviously don't grasp that! So we can safely say you're not just RUDE - you're not very bright either!:D Whatever are YOU doing on an ADVICE board when you can do a websearch instead? Or is it somewhere you come to vent your frustration at feeling inadequate; cos it's people who suffer from inadequacy issues who feel the need to put others down - like you do constantly.

I suggest you do a websearch and find out where one with inadequacy disorders can get treatment.
  • he BlackBerry has been favored over other smartphones for corporate use for a number of reasons. However, in today’s workplace, enterprises are adopting iPhones at a rapid pace, because of a push by employees who want to use them in both their personal and professional life.

the iphone is "cool" has lots of great apps and a great OS, both far better than blackberry

downsides are itunes restrictive syncing to only one computer nonsense, encrypting the drive so you cant see it outside of itunes, non accessible storage cards, its also easy to get carried away on the app store and run up big bills

blackberry's tend to be more organised for professional communication, I currently have a Storm, It monitors my 6 email accounts constantly for me which i love, plays high quality movies (I have 40 odd episodes of family guy on mine), is easy to swap out my 16gb micro sd cards for even more storage and for me i can just plug it in any computer and copy n paste media on and off it no need to install an app, no encryption and no pairing, you can also sync to as many PCs as you like for "outlook" data.

If you have a Mac computer already and an Apple MobileMe account the Blacberry' email advantage fades away. MobileMe costs £60/year and for that you get emails pushed to your iPhone. Emails, calander events and contacts are also automatically synced and backed up over the Internet.

  • Battery life is a big consideration, BB outperforms iPhone by about 2 days to 1 day, maybe less on the iPhone if you're a heavy user.

iPhone for multimedia and apps, BB for batter life, keyboard, better email management, multi-tasking and Blackberry Messenger.

A jailbroken iPhone is an improvement, but I still find I need both, as neither is the "ultimate" lol
