Moonbeever

i got a NT tax code 4 months ago, and have heard from Moonbeaver in that i sent them payslips etc, but as yet they have not asked me to pay anything, since then I have been discharged from the bankruptcy early. So does this mean I will still have to pay moon beaver or not, and if i do where does my money go to.
You are still liable for the NT code until it comes to an end in March. Put the money to one side for them. It has been known for people to get forgotten and end up not paying but it might be worth your while giving them a ring and sorting it.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Actually it is my money as it's come directly from my wages - it's wether the or remembers to ask for it to set against my debts but since he's already asked to be released from my case (he wrote to the secretary of state for permission 6 weeks ago) it's highly unlikely!:p0

Hi Everyone,
Quick q's, just received letter from Moonbeever saying the agreed amounts by OR and then states that we need to send payslips so they can revise the amount. Can Moonbeever change the amounts we pay on IPA?
Thanks
Hi there,
I have still not started with the nil tax ipa as the tax office have not yet implemented it. My OH has been paying his nil tax to m/beever since August.
They asked for first few payslips and averaged it out. They have not asked for any since. I pay OH's on a weekly basis by the bill payment thingy online as I didn't want a standing order (saves unwanted bank charges)
There might just be a small change once they have your payslips.Discharged May 20100 -

I relise it comes from your wages but it would never have been paid to you in the first place would it? Doesn't it go straight to tax? That's why I said it was never your money0 -
Doesn't it go straight to tax
I suspect, initially, moneys collected via the NT IPA go towards the OR's administration costs......and the moonbeever's winter nest egg.....then whatever's left may be divvied up, pro rata to crediors....so perhaps the taxman will get a bob or two.......but certainly nothing like the amount he would have got, without BR..
That's a thought...if enough of us go BR, will the UK suddenly become the world's leading tax haven? No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -

mu objection to paying it is that i would really rather my tax go where it is supposed to, and as I am now discharged where will it now go - not toward my debts, so do Moonbeaver get to line their pockets with it, in which case it would be better spent lining mine, as a single working parent i need it more than they do.Bankrupt 15/04/09 Discharged 28/10/09

A large proportion of it goes to fund the Insolvency Service which is a self-funding operation, the £350 deposit we pay when we go BR only covers part of the minumum £1700 each case costs.
Would you rather we had to pay the whole £1700 + court fees ourselves to go BR?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

I just find it totally unreasonable that you're celebrating the fact you 'think' you made some money out of the BR process. That money was for the tax in the first place, like we all pay. The only reason you have that money is because there been a mistake by the very people who have worked hard (I believe) to get you out of a mess. You sit back in your bankruptcy while some other people sorts out yours and my mess. The very funds that should be used to fund the service that's worked on your behalf you begrudge getting paid??
I don't have a NT code by the way, DH has. If that money is in account when we're discharged I shall be ringing the OR to find out where it should go. It was never your money whether it comes from your pay or not.. we all work and never see our money that goes to tax, why should bankrupts get to keep it.. that's wrong ad people on here know i'm a bankrupt to so i'm entitled to havemy say and be scathing about a fellow bankrupts attitude.0
