Hi Everyone,

Quick q's, just received letter from Moonbeever saying the agreed amounts by OR and then states that we need to send payslips so they can revise the amount. Can Moonbeever change the amounts we pay on IPA?

Thanks

Thanks for asking this I was wondering that too.

My DH letter from them gave the payment estimated by the OR and then wanted payslips so they can calculate the actual amount. They returned the payslips today with a letter that just thanks us for sending them in and notes that the nil tax code has not yet been implemented.

No notification of what amount we have to pay. Does anyone know when they will tell us that?

    Thanks Angie x
  • I'm the same, no nil tax as yet and BK in June. I think they require the payslips until the nil tax shows and then they average out the tax from the wageslips you have sent with your tax amount showing on them and then they will let you know when to pay and how much.

    Thats what I think anyway!?!

I know that it can take ages so in the meantime save out the money you think you owe.

I recently asked this as I was a little confused after OR interview. OR was very sympathetic and asked for a lower sum than we were expecting. I said I had a wage rise since I filled in the forms and he just said keep the wage slip until Moonbeever start collecting and they will ask for them. I am worried about being asccused of not notifying a change? Who will recalculate the amounts? I accept it has to be moonbeaver who work out the tax side for NT code, but what about extra income? Do they tell the OR who works it out or do moonbeaver do it?

i been waiting on moon beaver since may

It has been an idyllic summer for moonbeevers.......however, now the autumn rains have come, increased activity may be detected................

On a more serious note.....Moonbeever want payslips to ascertain pay levels for future reference.......on behalf of the OR.

Once NT tax code has been implemented [and the appropriate pay slip forwarded]...Moonbeever will write and tell one and all how much has to be paid....and until when.....and how.

Moonbeevers are very amenable, however, with regard to actual 'due dates' for receipt of monies.....so if your NT IPA has to be in their account by, for example, the 1st of the month...and you get paid only the day before..that's ok with Moonbeevers as they allow a week or two's grace before getting agitated.

If you receive a pay rise, or overtime/bonus payments at any time once the IPA has started, then forward the appropriate wage slip to the moonbeever, and they will write back and tell you how much extra should be paid...so they do adjust payments, up AND down, as required.

There is no need to start saving for NT IPA payments, until one has received the NT tax code.....[and the greater nett pay amount].....Moonbeever may write and tell you beforehand, how much they ''expect'' you to pay, when the time comes...which is helpful..but not necessarily accurate, as I found out.....

My problems arose because, when my NT code was implemented, it coincided with an annual performance bonus payment [yep...I have been known to perform!]......plus....a new pay rise...so I had no idea how much a normal pay cheque would come to....as it wan't separated out on my wageslip....

Moonbeever were quite helpful over this strange matter......

BTW...I pay my IPA by standing order, set up over tinternet [good ol' co-op].....but can pay odd amounts [the variations as above] by direct tinternet banking.

However....it appears the Moonbeevers have been having a sort-out....they revised my reference code a couple of weeks ago..for some reason.....

this is what worries me, the OR was so nice abiout it, he said it was his decision how much to ask for, but I am worried the bubble will burst and someone will overrule him?

I'm not noted for cleaning up.....

the above is where the notion of 'putting aside'' one's NT IPA payments, perhaps in a savings account, works in the BR's favour...you might get a bob or two interest?

I thought we couldn't have a savings account whilst BR? Mine has been closed by Co-op?
