this is what worries me, the OR was so nice abiout it, he said it was his decision how much to ask for, but I am worried the bubble will burst and someone will overrule him?

Can anyone answer this, worried now that I have worked out what I have on what I have been told to pay, and it could be completely wrong by large amount?

    nobody over-rules anybody.

What you have left, will be the same as you had, pre-NT.

If by some chance you end up with a little bit more, then enjoy.

The only way you will end up with less, is if your IPA also includes deductions due to excess surplus income...and that is the IPA that lasts for three years.

[you keep some of the surplus anyway......just not all of it!]

The answer really is...you will pay Moonybeevers an amount equivalent to what you would have paid in tax.......[or sometimes, slightly less.]

    don't worry...worriting is something BR's shouldn't indulge in.....

I thought we couldn't have a savings account whilst BR? Mine has been closed by Co-op?

it will be, if pre-BR....but there's nothing to stop you opening a new one afterwards...so I have been led to believe

Yorkshire Building Society at www.ybs.co.uk and Abbey at www.abbey.com will both let you open savings accounts, even if you are an undischarged bankrupt. I understand also that Barclays has now agreed to undischarged BRs having a savings account, although this may only be permitted if you open their cashsaver (?) current account (the one for bankrupts).
  • i have Nil tax code impliented 3 months ago not heard from moon beaver. saving what i should be paying
  • Hi All,

Thanks for all your advise and comments! Seems we are all a little confused! I have re read the letters and I will act on what they have told me and see what happens, but I understand from this that the IPA amount will not change, but the tax could as it varies monthly. Thanks again!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
i got a NT tax code 4 months ago, and have heard from Moonbeaver in that i sent them payslips etc, but as yet they have not asked me to pay anything, since then I have been discharged from the bankruptcy early. So does this mean I will still have to pay moon beaver or not, and if i do where does my money go to.

Don't forget sometimes moonbeever never gets in contact - I got my AD a few weeks ago - I have 3 months of income tax sitting in my account from Jan,Feb & March 09 which so far no one has asked for (yes I know some people think they will eventually remember me!), MY Income tax was readjusted in April and I appear to have been forgotten so it sometimes doesn't happen the way it's supposed to!!!;);)

Does that mean you keep the money? Personally, I'd rather just contact them find out if they're still able to take the money after discharge (ergh PHIL!) then you'd know, beats keeping this money in an account wondering if it's ever yours and darn't use it just incase it's asked for. I mean it's not your money is it? Never was in the first place.

Maybe i'm not seeing the full picture again, maybe i'm being a dimwit yet again. Just my take on it :)
