Mobile Contract with bad credit

Hi, I have a few defaults from around four years ago, I currently use Pay as you go but its costing mw a fortune.. I applied for the i-phone through o2 and was offered to pay £100 deposit for the contract, as it said my credit rating was bad this is what they offered, I had a think about it then went to apply again and they point blank refused me and refered me to the CRA. Dont know how they can make an offer one minute then take it away the next?
Anyway what im asking is, What would be the best network to apply for a contract through? Obviously my credit rating isn't great but are their any networks more accepting than others?
Thanks

By far the easiest network to get on to is 3, not a bad network if you can get a decent signal and put up with theie customer services trying to sell you stuff when you phone up about a problem.
My credit rating is shocking and I took a punt to see if I could save a few quid by moving away from PAYG and they accepted me.
A week of 2 later I applied for their mobile broadband and that was accepted aswell0 -
Thanks snakeyes, I applied for a contract on Friday with three, online. Yet to hear anything back yet though.0

Three asked me for £100 deposit to take on a contract which will be refunded after 3 months.0

3 months...
its a year for refund of deposit0 -
so is it common for them to ask for a deposit? They said it will be returned after three months.0

Try Vodafone, they've given me a decent contract. Yes, I've had defaults but I'm paying them back and trying to sort out my credit record.** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

three will ask for a deposit if they believe you are a high risk and i work for a 3rd party company, and i have spend a many hours agrueing with 3 customer services saying that they promise deposit after 3-6 months and they always say to me its year then they may refund it as a cheque0 -

I applied for the Nokia 5800 and was asked for the £100 deposit, suppose its a high end phone - got 14 days to decide, dont want to apply to too many different networks. Just want acontract to help improve my credit rating.0

My credit rating is ok (nothing brilliant though!). I applied online with T-mobile, and was told that they would need some further details, so I completed instore, and walked out with a Nokia 5800. I had a printout of my application online, which helped.
It is a good phone. Try and get a 12 month contract, so you get your deposit back.0
