I don't know what Amazon's like, so I can't comment. I suppose if you're buying from a reputable shop, you'll have some way to get compensation if anything should go wrong.
But on my side, I will NEVER buy a dodgy clone again. By picking a £8.25 charger instead of a £60 one, I ended up paying £350 in total. Even with the £100 compensation I'm getting (which they haven't sent to me yet, I might add) that's still a helluva lot of money that I've lost out on.
