My advise would be for now just do what you can off of the list for each day and then NO CARRYING OVER that is in my opinion a golden rule for newbies. It will get easier as the weeks go by and the lists are similar each week but not the same ie hoover and mop kitchen floor will always be on but things like clean the oven, clean the WM filter that need doing less often get rotated. Don't get disheartened. If I'm doing a big job (ie decorating or decluttering a big room) then I'll only do my dailies and urgent things like a quick hoover around that week and no lists at all.

I see there has been a lot of CBA people today - just as well i wasnt around earlier:rotfl::rotfl::p but there was some good advuce and there a few of you who should be taking heed
Turn that tv off and get up and do something - go on now. That rubbish will rot your brain! Put Radio 5 on instead and get moving :rotfl:

If you go out you'll be moving, which will help you keep warm, and you'll save money on the heating. yes brilliant idea and you will be getting the exercise that so many of you want to do

Have a hot drink to warm you up and put on some uplifting music :D... and move... get your circulation going and you should feel energised. Slobbing in front of the TV won't help.

If you must watch TV then make it your reward for when you have done a level on the list or if you know something is coming on then set yourself up to be finished a particular job by that time - the more you slob about watching the tv the more disheartened you will become looking at the mess around you. And get off the computer - its a time stealer

Although there was a lot of work done today there was also a lot of chatting and single line posts - spare a thought for me trawling through to do the stars and for the newcomers - if there are too many posts they wont keep up and maybe wont have time to look for answers to any questions they have asked.
We will no doubt have loads of new people joining us this next few weeks - we are all trying to get our houses looking good for that big day in December so the thread is going to be growing again - lets not let it get out of hand too much.
I have only done a quick skim through tonight as there was over 200 hundred posts - a couple of weeks ago it would only have been about 130-150 - so apologies if i have missed you - i am tired.

    hugs to all the poorlies
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine

    :p.. I am easily forgetable!

a bit of real rest won't do you any harm! but I know what you mean I'm not good at sitting doing absolutely nothing either

DS2.. 13 (going on 11 due to disabilities) he is a geek.. star wars, X-men, etc.. nothing with 'bits', struggles with reading but does if it is something that catches his interest. Can't do fiddly things and hates sport.. he is so difficult to buy for.

I have picked up DD2's rug and she has one large chest of drawers to stuff her clothes into.. which she has culled to about half their former mountain!! Thank goodness!! There isn't much left but it means there will be less on the floor! :D

Just waiting for a few more packages and my christmas shopping for the children is complete.. then I can do my stepdad, mother, 2 sisters, Tabitha and Jacob.. and Jacobs mummy. THEN.. we have OH's family to think about.. I may run away and find a smaller family!

I am just scooting over to mention christmas card list on the facebook group.. if anyone is interested?!

so far today i have electrocuted myself and spilled acid over my legs. Both through my own stupidity.

    "Thiiiinnnnggggs can only get bettttteeeerrrrrr"

Its only the fact we have just had our electrics updated with RCDs that means I didn't do myself proper damage.

Oh and the sofa covers have gone a comedy cerise colour.

GFH  you be careful out there - this housework stuff can be REALLY dangerous....

I think there are several more people I will now put on ignore. That thing at the end of December - we really don't need to talk about it NOW! Bah Humbug!

Made a mean stir fry for dinner out of the remains of Sunday's duck roast. Decluttered a little bit of Gordons and a little bit of wine.

Am now going to go to bed.

    Hugs to all

OOooh - meant to add - Rach - hope you find a medical solution to your health issues soon - if it's coeliacs then you know how to work round it xxx
