Well done... this dealer... are they someone you should be introducing other flyladies tooI am very chuffed, dealer friend came unexpectedly this afternoon and relieved me of 3 boxes of 'stuff', an old typewriter and a 'textile' bedcover for a tidy sum..Result! The LR looks a lot emptier now, just need to crack on with the rest of the house. Oh and one bag for charity to be disposed of when I next go past a charity shop.
sounds like a great incentive to declutter!
Toots - I hope you didn't do a whole HHI all on your own. You aren't doing a very good job of resting . We need you to look after yourself. Can you read or watch DVDs when doing nothing (if so, I just happen to have a large bag full of trashy DVDs and books in the back of my car which could be diverted to you before heading off to the charity shop
). Hope you don't mind me asking, but what's up with your mother? It sounds like it involves work on your part.
Pigpen - I believe that the white slave trade is still going strong, so I'm sure you could ebay your brood if necessary... you just need to work out the code (get Valli to do the research!).
I've spoken to my mother, worked out what I need to email my boss about (no point in talking, I'll die of boredom before he finishes a sentence)... basically it's about having the tools I need to do the job, and the fact that I need clarity on a few things otherwise it will compromise my productivity when I start dealing with clients.
Breakfast & lunch for tomorrow sorted. Diary updated - why is it that I have nothing on for ages and then everything happens at once  I promised a friend I'd go to a pamper party, and now someone else has told me about a really interesting lecture on poisons on the same evening (maybe Pigpen should go...
).
I need to book some leave, and also invite a few people over, as I haven't really had people over for sunday lunch/supper/dinner or to stay for a year or two
. I've lost the knack of it - I spend ages agonising over dates and then finding that they don't work out. I don't want to pressurise people by booking too far ahead, but at the same time, if I try to do something spontaneous, some people seem to be booked up months in advance! Still, I need to take a deep breath and get on with it... 0 -
OK - where have I got to? Deleting as I go I think...
tidy dining room
hoover upstairs
washout fridge
ring Dentist
ironing
wash dining room window
start an Ebay pile
Bed by 10.30 - failed!
Add for tomorrow
Nativity bags
Research selection box prices (& if they are in poundland as well?)
Charity application forms
Chase for rest of paperwork
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Well I'm pleased it's the master bedroom tomorrow (how sad) but we got stuff from Dave's parents at the weekend (stuff left when we moved in years ago from him including another guitar) which is messing up the bedroom, we now have 6 guitars in the bedroom:eek:, he says he's going to get rid of them and get one very nice one (two are mine though - and they not going) but to tell you the truth he's been saying this for a very long time (I'll believe it when I see it). To top it off he only seems to play my acoustic one:mad:, and now it needs new strings:mad:, dd(5) has a 3/4 guitar (she does after school guitar club) and ds(3) has a small one which never keeps it tune. He wants a blue 3/4 so that will be either Christmas or Birlthday (January).
Flying wise I finished todays list :jand I'm in a good mood now, I was fuming earlier as I picked DD up from school and her coat was covered in mud (she got pushed over again) it was filthy and her shoes have been washed 3 times and they aren't coming up clean (so she needs a new pair) - I was that mad I took photos of it to show the school (not the first time this has happened) - at breaks they seem not to be watched (I think they see it as teacher chatter time:mad:) I've watched them when I pick ds up from the nursery part, they just chat while the kids play. I've always told my children never to hit people but to tell the teachers (dd told me that when she does they just tell her to go play), but I told her today that if it happens again, to push them back and to tell me if the teachers say anything, I think enough is enough, she told me that she got pushed of the slide and also pushed over and the boy said to her "girls stink" I said to her where were the teachers and she said she didn't know, ok better stop now as I'm getting angry again SORRY for the rant.
I'm going to costcos this week with Dave's mam, so hoping to get some bulk buying in, anyone know the good bargins there? (going to look for the 5l of white vinegar) anyway better go, tired so going to bed, night all sorry again for the rant - I do feel better getting it off my chest.

rosepink Matthew is just wonderful, I am sure embb will agree, even if he was trying to get in the lake when she spent some time with us at the park, he's a little monkey :rotfl:
pigpen I will pop onto the FB page in a mo
Well what a day, had a meeting this morning to design the AM of a conference which went ok. Back a little late to a stroppy DP who'd had to deal with garage lady (erm tough!) unpacked some more, argued hugely with DP who's been getting so on my nerves!!! Went to get DS2s new glasses from MetroHell, bought nephews birthday present (shocked my sisters invited them over for his party next week after all the bother with her)
Got home to find my BB was off, phoned Sky to find out they haddn't redone our new order, we were using the 'cancelled' connection. Anyway they said they could sign us up again which would be 14 days wait......so I said no thanks and looked elsewhere for a better offer. Especially as they had given us 56 days free internet why should I pay them for it :rotfl: Gone with BeBroadband £6.75/month for first 12 months
half the price and £25 cashback from topcashback so happier but still miffed as I have no BB (using mobile one now) Now of course my laptop is playing up, refuses to charge, grrrr anything else want to go wrong :rotfl: but hey ho such is life, will arrange an in warranty repair for it. Soooo I may not be around much until I am back online and it's fixed!
Flying? :rotfl: you are joking? will try my best tomorrow x Actually no aswell as unpack I moved DS2s new drawers (my old ones) into his room from the landing, tidied his tip of a room, did 4 washer loads, cleaned doggy do up, put some laundry away and more I can't even remember.
Big sloppy hugs for you all x xOne day I might be more organised...........

Greenbee - I've checked with Continental's handling agent, and as long as you have a UK passport, you can travel to the US for as long as the passport is valid - you don't need 3 or 6 months left because of the agreement between the states and the UK - you just need to be back into the UK by the passport's expiry date HTH xI'd rather be watching CSI!0

Morning ladies!
Jinky - You are a darling
Those candles were beautiful and you know how I love cheesecake! Thank you.

Was good to talk to you last night.
all so much for the positive thoughts and prayers for Tris yesterday. The op seemed to go Ok and he logged on to messenger and we chatted a while - was going to ring but said he was being ill and bringing up blood and then about 10 mins later it went quiet and someone typed to tell me he had passed out. Long story short he ended up having a seizure and then back into theatre for emergency surgery. He is stable now and in their version of intensive care. I do appreciate all your support for him.
So my lists today are:
Feed the cat at least twice
Brush the cat
Sort and delete 20 emails (they seen to breed if left alone!)

Clean bathroom sink
Spray bleach on the bottoms of the shower curtains
Email R
Fill WM and put on
