Just a quick one... do ya reckon parsnips will be ok in spag bol? Just I got 2 that are looking a bit tired and want to use them up? I'm already chucking courgettes and some lentils in so don't need them to bulk it out, just want to use them! Don't know whether they'll work in bolognease or it its better to put them with some chickpeas that have also been lurking in cupboard for a while and make a bit of a spicy soup?
I'd go for the soup. Add in some apple if you have any, apple and parsnip makes gorgeous soup :) And bingo - another meal (well, lunch)

Jill give up on the other weeks thread and just concentrate on this one – you will never catch up otherwise! Don’t waste time trying to catch up.
LOL I know I know but I find skim reading it really relaxing! Tonight I have finish 3 drawstring bags for beavers, as soon as they are done I am going to bed with laptop to read the thread, bliss!!! (doesnt take much these days LOL)

Right need to get tea on the table!

    Yes please!

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

louboutingirl - I was doing the HHC with you so you werent alone :) (was meant to be 15 min but expanded .. doesnt it always).....

DD2 is having a strop on the floor at my feet and I know she wont eat any tea,. Cant get her to eat anything but fruit, its really annoying. Wouldnt worry except for iron and protein really.

Yay I wasn't friendless for my HHC!!

At least you don't have a little *angel* (said through gritted teeth) like my friends DS who throws a strop whenever she tries to feed him fruit or veg. I was over at hers the other week and he literally threw his dinner on the floor because there were peas on the plate  At least fruit is good for her but ISWYM with protein etc...

    xx
  • Soappie Oh, it's no irritation. I'm lucky, really, that the sorting office is just up the road and I'd rather the posty did take it back where it would be safe.

Normally I would drive and be there and back in 15 minutes but I decided the walk would do the dog and I good - but we did catch the bus back (using the monthly bus pass I got for work so making the most of it :) ) as it happened to come along at the right time. BB quite enjoyed the ride.
    Ah well... our

(Sorry in advance if there are any Flyladies in MK, but I just CANNOT go there without getting horribly, stupidly and steamingly lost....:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:....for hours......or days.......:rotfl:)

argh I know, I know fruit is good for her and I am grateful.
    So today she has had:
    - rice cripsies (suppose they are fortified with iron, not sure how much of RDA for a 2 yo tho)
    - with milk and a cup of milk to drink
    - slice of wholemeal toast with marg
    - box of raisins and 3 satsumas for lunch (gave her sandwich she refused so she had few crisps instead. If I hadnt given her crisps she would just have eaten more satsuma, at least she got some carbs ?) (she also refused a yoghurt)
    - and so far for tea - nothing. I gave her plain pasta (about 10 bits so as not to intimidate) and she wont eat it. She is asking for apple and satsuma.

She seems healthy, full of energy, developing fine yadda yadda yadda. Noworries on calcium as she drinks loads of milk. Does milk have decent protein.
Won't eat bread (except toast), pasta, potatoes, any meat inc sausages etc, fish, cheese, eggs.
She will eat pizza but if I put ham on it she picks it off.
She will eat cereal like cripsies or cornflakes
As I said already, she will eat fruit and would live on grapes, raisins (oh they have iron in dont they), melon and satumas.

Anyone want to a) tell me stop worrying and that its all fine or b) tell me what else to try
I know they all go through phases and wont starve themselves etc etc but its been months now, I am not giving in and playing silly games, and I am not doing her a seprate dinner I want her to learn she eats what we eat or nothing (well, fruit).

So tired. Cant be bothered to make lunches. Want to sleep *yawn*
