Just popping my head over the parapet and peeping in. Don't want to worry any of you that noticed I went AWOL..lol. But then I do it so often it's second nature with me :D

Good news I managed to clear the cupboard under the stairs yesterday, took all day and about 10 black bin liners full of carpe. I can now walk to the spare freezer, which has been emptied ready for loading up with Christmas bits and bobs. Trouble is I am feeling the after effects and am absolutely shattered. Haven't even bothered to get dressed yet :(

I have been struggling with a nasty glandular buggy thing for several days, I look like a gerbil at the moment with severely swollen neck glands, and have lost my voice considerably. I'm drinking lots of fluids but it still isn't easing my throat. Also am taking paracetamol to ease any pain, but these are also not helping :( I don't really feel ill just absolutely shattered and achy. I am beginning to wonder if it's one of two things - a very nasty bug or glandular fever. Ugh!!!

Have to get the house reasonably tidy/cleaned/hoovered before tomorrow as an old school friend is coming to fit the downstairs doors - hence the cupboard under the stairs being cleaned so dramatically..lol I've also got a couple of bits to do in town, if I can drag myself out of the house that is..

First of all I shall drag myself into the shower and get dressed and take another round of painkillers.

    *Hugs* to all :D

  • Making some progress, but the counters and fridge were stuffed with leftovers from our meals with guests, so the first job was to use them up/freeze them, and then wash up all the baking sheets/roasting tins they freed up!

[STRIKE]HHI[/STRIKE] I try not to iron anything! But I have done a HHCooking session instead to: make ham stock; make beef stock (from joints at weekend); chop all the beef off the ribs to make a stew later in the week; combine all the left-over veggies to make bubble and squeak later in the week; use the left-over ham, pastry (from apple pie), cream (from apple pie) plus dodgy mushrooms and bits of cheese to make a big quiche for the freezer.
[STRIKE]Clean the oven and hob..[/STRIKE] :D Yup, though it's now sitting under 2ft of drying tins....

    In my second HHC, I:
Write cover letter to send to insurers and make sure have all the docs they need- need to CHASE UP DH to finish filling in the forms
Talked to DH about the insurance and finances etc
    Tidied floor a little bit

Didn't get as much done in that HHC as I'd hoped but the insurance things had to be done - it's to do with the crash DH had in July! I need to do another HHC in a mo to do proper stuff

Having lunch and watching the 45 mins of Strictly I recorded, annoyed with myself for not recordin the whole thing! Anyway, at least I got th end.
Another HHC at 12:50 join me if you can! hijump.gif
