I used to have snacks when I was younger especially around the ages 11-16. I used to literally eat Mum out of house and home, due to having a horse and being so active
It wasn't unusual for me to have
breakfast - 2 x weetabix and toast, cup of tea
snack - rice cakes/banana
lunch - full cooked meal and pudding at school
snack after school - usually milkshake and choc bar
tea - full cooked tea (corned beef hash or something similar) and usually 2 portions including veg!!
At college, working with the horses we usually ate breakfast - 4 x pieces toast, cereal, full cooked brekkie, lunch - sandwich, fruit, yoghurt and tea - full cooked meal and pudding0 -

Just had a quick look through this thread, as it is a topic close to my heart. I have a four year old with a bottomless pit of a stomach. I tend to buy a couple of different melons and chop them up and keep them in several small containers in the fridge for her. She also loves the little boxes of raisins, or a small pot of cheerios. I do let her have sweet treats too sometimes. Small packets of chocolate buttons or some mini hob nobs.... does that make me a bad mummy?0

Forgot another of her favourites, mini chedders or ritz crackers with grapes.0

I looked after a mates kids one evening and they got hooked on Papadoms..and the mango chutney. I was dismayed to find they also liked Twiglets and pretzels.
Papadoms aren't bad for kids as they don't contain as much salt as crisps. Cheap from asian shops too.

Starting with the yoghurt covered fruit and fruit loaf. Tesco had big bags of dried exotic fruit today for 49p. Tried to go for milk chocolate covered peanuts to mike in with their raisins, but I ate the bag before the kids got near them
May move onto the mushy peas and vinegar. No chance I'll find that so more-ish I eat a bag in 3 days:rotfl:Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
