Gd luck rummer hope it is a BFP to end nov.

Like others have said it would be :j:j to get a BFP in Dec but would also be good to be :beer: at my xmas do in two weeks time safe in the knowledge I'm prior to ov!! Also trying to think of an excuse while I'm not drinking at xmas will be a bit  and probably will have to even if I get AF in Dec as will be past ovulation.

Glad to see lots of you on the list in Dec and still thinking of catwoman and jenny

Also not sure who was asking but I'm 30 and DH is 35 - he's the cradle snatcher hahaha and this will be our first time at ttc and have been since July when I came off the pill but been actively trying with opks etc for a few months.

  • Hi all, not long back from the hospital!
Went in at 7am fasted from 10.30pm last night, went in and spoke to the doctor who was really nice and easy to talk to. She went through my notes and discussed what we were going to do, last night I had been told that the only way forward was with surgery to remove the 'ectopic' even though they were not convinced. Anyway after speaking to the doctor this morning she felt there were three ways to go - the surgery route, the methotrexate - I was told last night that my hcg levels were too high for this to work but was told today that different hospitals set different limits, at my hospital it is 5000, mine was about 6000 an the doc this morning thought that the methotrexate would probably work. The final option was to sit and wait and continue monitoring me. She felt that as I hadn't had a scan since last Friday that it would be useful to send me for one.

The scan went well and the doctor doing it was lovely - she scanned me last week too, she said she couldn't see anything to suggest an ectopic, though technically she couldn't rule it out her gut instinct was that there was nothing of concern.

Went back to the doctor on the ward who spoke to the consultant and they decided that the best way forward would be to have a D&C - as there is 'something' in my womb, and they would analyse this to see if there was any sign of tissue!!! So I have to phone for the pathology results tomorrow!! I am glad because it is much more straight forward op - I am home and not in pain, hopefully this will solve the problem.

So apart from having to wait until 7.15pm tonight to be taken for op - STARVING!! everything went well.

So fingers crossed this will solved the problem and there will be no more issues and we can get on with the other tests!!

    Will keep you all up-to-date!

Thanks for all the kind words and support xx

    Sorry for the massive post!!
  • Catwoman: I've been lurking specifically to catch a post from you. Am so glad that you have been given other alternatives and fingers crossed that it gets resolved as painlessly as it possibly can. Still thinking of you. xxx

Also Twinklie; that age gap is humongous!!!!! this is just me being nosy but how on earth did they meet?????

Oh Cat, thank heavens for different dr's! It's still a horrible thing for you to have to go through and I hope it works out for you and that you will have some finality to it all. You've had such a year of it I really don't know how you've stayed so strong. I hope you'll soon be well on the road to recovery.x

Cat it sounds as if you are in good hands and that they are doing what they can to look after you. Take care and try to get a good nights sleep.
