  • hi all, i've been lurking for a little while and just wanted to say hello. my husband and i recently decided to start ttc-ing and just came on here for some advice! (btw i know the username sounds weird but i used to use it all the time because i love the beatles song, and it seemed apt for MSE!)

maddie, just wanted to say that i hope you feel better, we have 2 cats and i'd be devastated if anything happened to either so i can relate to how you feel :(

catw0man really big hugs to you.
Sammy_girl glad to see you back, was wondering where u went!!

Well on the land off laura trying for little laura's, i am still OV so will be BD tonight and we did last night.
I dont think i will be testing at the end of the month(prob will tho!) as i think it may be to early to tell if i get pg whilst OV?
  • Hi everyone. I have been getting the period like pains again today that i had on saturday and sunday. Im on day 21 of my cycle and they normally last 28 days. Also on a morning i am finding iam feeling very dizzy to the point that i feel like im going to pass out, but i don't. I have had dizzy problems for a while now but not this bad, it seem to go away for a while but has come back. My doctor last time said that it was because of my tablets that im on, which i don't understand as i have been on them for a few years. Also i find it happens more if i haven't had breakfast in the morning.

  • Have a good time tonight Laura ;) Think I'm ovulating too which is a few days early for me so maybe we'll get our BFP's together. :j:j When you talk about testing I think the minimum is 10 dpo but chances of a BFP are 50/50, best to wait if you can till AF is due (if you can, although I don't know if I can practice what I preach!). I got my last BFP day after AF was due as I had all AF symptoms so thought she was on her way, but not  anyway not meant to be!

Welcome to everyone and hope we all get our BFPs as a great xmas present :xmassmile

((( Hugs)) again to catwoman I hope things will get sorted soon!!

Courgette I could never teach, I train for adults and usually they are really nice but have the odd nightmare student so I admire you for doing that!

Me CD12 - first month using OPK - nothing showing so far - was expecting a positive by now, as cycle is generally 25 days. So leaves me with lots of unanswered questions.

Maybe the sticks are faulty, maybe I'm not oving. So went googling .... what a nightmare. Seems you can have LH rise and no ov or no LH and still ov. Also found out that after your mid-30's ovulation can be all over the place - even occur during AF.

So do I just bulky buy OPK and test every day???? And where does that leave us with BDing - can't be doing that every day. So confused now.

Don't google make it 3 makes it worse! I have probs with opks too used them last month got a positive then BFP but this month had a darker colour on cd13 compared to others but not a positive as compared to instructions but I had other ov symptoms (pains and ewcm on cd14) so I guessed I was ov'd but is a guess  Unfortunately no exact science.

Have you had any other symptoms of ovulation??

You shouldn't need to test everyday but can alter the result when you test, best time is in the afternoon so that could be affecting it.

Also like me as much as I love DH I too tired to do it every other day but could try this middish cycle ;)

    Good Luck!

Thanks Sir Monster, probably shouldn't have googled - as you're right - it hasn't helped. I don't get ewcm or ov pains, so I was hopping the opks would help us target bding other than just counting days.

It wasn't until we started TTC that I realised that regular periods didn't mean anything in terms of fertility. I'm going to use the sticks for another couple of days and then try them again next month.

I have been feeling very "full" today so I am keeping my fingers crossed that something might be happening. Gosh I am swinging from yes to no every day now! Patience seems to be the one virtue I am lacking. So want to test now!!!!
Fingers crossed for you hun:) But try and wait til AF is due before testing..easier said than done I know:rolleyes::) x

Maddie ((((HUGS)))) to you honey:( Its a horrible thing to happen, but at least he isn't suffering anymore:) I found it helpful to have a pic of my cat when she died, we have a little shrine to her:o but she was definitely one of a kind and if I could find the f$%$% who ran her over I'd have his balls for breakfast:mad::(:(

Whens your next scan sweetie?!?! I've got everything crossed or you...see I'm even willing to forgo a bfp just so you can find out whats going on;):D I really really hope you just have an ultra sneaky bean xxxxxxxxxxx

Welcome to Dear Prudence although I can see me shortening your name to Pru so hope you don't mind :) For abbreviations theres a link on the 1st page of the thread to a site with them all on.

Weezl thanks for that only down side is I can't stand marmite:rolleyes: Typical lol

Moneysaver dizziness could be due to low blod sugar levels esp. as it's worse if you don't eat brekkie:confused: I have the same thing and if I don't eat brekkie I make sure I have a sugar in my tea in the morning...it's vile but at least I don't feel like I'm about to pass out:) If its not that then I have my fingers crossed;)

Shazrobo I hope you feel better soon x

    Tinkwings loving your PMA mantra:):)

Phew! Nevermind, theres always tonight:) Thank god I wasn't planning on waiting til OV..I'd begoing spare by now:rolleyes:
