I'm sitting here in shock.... Just back from my scan.... And like katyj, I'm totally gobsmacked to have been given good news - the little baby looks fine, even saw the heartbeat, and I'm 8+2 which is only one day different to my estimate. No explanation for the bleeding - just one of those things, they said. Didn't get a picture though, which is a shame as DH wasn't there to see. But oh my goodness - it just seemed like it was all over last night and this morning. Totally in shock.

    That's fab news astro, congratulations!!

hi i am not new to MSE but thought i'd set up a new username so i can openly talk about TTC !! I dont want to talk to my friends about it coz i dont want them saying every month 'so any babies yet'!!! Anyway i came off the contraceptive impant about september coz we both decided to try again for baby number 2 (together) number 4 for me !! I am not too familar with the abbriviations yet but i am sure i will pick them up. I am having a visit from AF now and be hopefully be OV about the 27th nov onwards. (Shame its not this weekend coz we are away for the weekend and stopping in a lovely hotel in a 4 poster bed !!!!) lol !
I am looking forward to getting to know you all and hopefully sharing our journeys through pregnancy

Great news Astro and Katy!!! Sorry to hear some of you are having bad days. My OV time has passed and I just don't feel PG. When I was expecting my daughter I just knew but I currently feel nothing and I doubt I will. Not able to test for ages which makes it even worse! Surely they could invent an even earlier test??? Mind you my emotions have been all over the place for the last few days so maybe.

astro - I've been thinking about you all day. Thank goodness for your news. So pleased to hear from you and you can put your mind at rest. Get someone else to hang your curtains in future!! Really happy for you.

Welcome mrsmc your confidentiality is assured here! Completely understand the thing about people asking you if you've any news. That's why we kept it secret too.

rummer, hang in there for the 2ww. What date are you testing?

and tinks, sorry you're having a bad day, hope tomorrow is better. I sometimes find when DH is being an !!!! that being ever nicer to him back makes him snap out of it (and I can secretly laugh at him). It's not nice to have bad feeling hanging in the air. Could you ask him out on a date for this weekend and have a nice time and try to put the differences behind you? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding what's happened. It's just that my DH never says sorry even when he is wrong - not that that's very often mind!

At least you can have a rant on here and get it out of your system.

    Take care all,
    Katy x

  • astro and katy; that is absolutely fantastic news and has made my night! I must admit to shedding a little tear too (I'm emotional and hormonal!).

Sorry to those having a thoroughly miserable time for one reason or another. Life is soooo carp sometimes isn't it, hopefully as the recent good news has shown though that things can and do get better and sometimes they are not as bad as you think. But feel free to rant away and have a grumble here.

    Take care everyone

  • Fantastic news astro and katyj. That's cheered me right up.

I was feeling a bit weepy earlier. Full-on AF style cramps suggesting we've not done it this month. I know I've just come off the pill and should be patient, but its further complicated by OH who has a little problem. TMI Alert!! Not sure how to put this. OH has trouble finishing the job. We've been together for a long time and I can count on one hand the number of times he's finished in the place he needs to be for baby making. So it means it might be another 6 months before the little tadpoles are in the right place again and even then it it might not be the right time. So when it happened unexpectedly about the right time this month I thought maybe it was a miracle or fate or something.

Just feeling like its never going to happen and that's making me sad :(
