Hello, thought I'd delurk and join in this year (I've read all the ttc threads now and felt the highs and lows with everyone here) - as you can see, this is my first post EVER:T I'm not even on facebook so this is momentous!

Congratulations to all BFPS - had a feeling Smartie would get hers after getting that cake list.

Anyway, I'm 31, OH, 34 - ttc #1 since 11/09. Lucky us got BFP first time on 18/12 -had to tell more family than would have liked as was obviously not drinking alcohol over Xmas (not that I'm a raging alkie). Went to Dr on 30/12 to get the ball rolling but MCed on New Year's Eve at 6wks. A bitter sweet holiday season. A pregnancy book I bought on Amazon arrived days later and I can't look at it now:(

Just waiting for 1st af so we can get back on the rollercoaster. Hopefully we'll all be waddling around by Autumn-Winter 2010 (but without that evil ice:mad:)
Thanks for being gentle with me - new to posting AND ttc :p

    Hi and welcome..

I too Mcd on New Years Eve, just waiting for spotting to stop and get negtive test then we will be straight back at it.

    :)
  • Just been to the loo and my AF is so heavy and I have the most chronic period pains. I'm sat at my desk in work and feel like crying with the pain. Have just taken some Feminax.

Why is my cycle like this? This does normally happen, a week of light bleeding and then a few more days of really heavy bleeding and about 35 days inbetween.

    Can anyone help?
Oh hun hope you're ok and the pain is bearable! Sounds like it's a longer AF than you're used to....our bodies do like to flummox us on a regular basis!! Hope you're ok x

Hi Penny, I remember reading about your BFP and thinking ooh, we're due around the same time and then when both our luck changed again, I felt we had even more in common. Hope you are getting good support. We'll both get sticky beans...(probably on the same day)

I never had spotting - 1 day of medium-heavy red bleeding with clots and NO pain. It never consoled me though because although my symptoms vanished quickly, I felt in limbo - not feeling pregnant but not feeling like I'd miscarried either. That CB digital 'Not Pregnant' a week later confirmed it though.

My DH gives me great support, :A could not be without him.

I have been bleeding/spotting for 2 weeks now, I done a pregnancy test yesterday and it quashed me as still shows pregnant. Wont be testing again till bleeding/spotting stops.

I think with or without symptoms a mc is so hard to deal with. But we have to keep moving forward.

Then I am DETERMINED !!! it wont be long before another BFP good job DH is fit and active lol.

We will have to keep each other updated :)
  • Hi everyone. I don't want to offer anyone false hope but thought some might like to know that during my pregnancy with my son I bled for the first 14 weeks, at times quite heavy, clots etc. I went for weekly scans at the early pregnancy unti & was sure every time I would get bad news. He's 3.5 now so sometimes miracles do happen.

I've had 1 missed miscarriage & 1 normal miscarriage with my son between the 2, we have been ttc #2 since my son was 1 with no joy, I'm now 40 so time is against us.
  • Hi all...I have some strange browny discharge happening today...terrified it is the start of something bad :(
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..

Grrh! Tried to be all clever and multiquote and lost the whole darn thing. Silly newbie. Sorry Penny, had a lovely reply and everything for you too!! Bare with me.
SEE? This is the reason me and technology are not friends. And facebook just doesn't appeal. I'd like to think I have an air of mystery but it's essentially just laziness and the thought of all those dodgy ex boyfs coming out of the wordwork (not literally:rolleyes:) would be too much for me.

Anyway, what I was going to say was, YES, the mc hasn't dampened my spirits. It's made me more determined and appreciative of my lovely OH. You can't change the past and dwelling won't help me in body or mind to conceive again. I've cried a lot and done the Why us? tirade and now we're back and fighting!
