lil devil i see you have started knitting again. Is there any good book to buy thats really easy to understand and follow about how to learn to knit. I want to start learning how to knit:D!

I just want to thank everyone you have all helped me soooo much this year, and i really dont know what i would off done without all your help.:Dyou are all so wonderful amazing strong women
    THANK YOU.

Hope everyone has a good night

Something like the Art of Knitting is quite good (although some of their instructions are a bit wierd as are some of the patterns .... although the cat/mouse baby hat/bootees are lovely and I was planning to make them for my bubs!).

I also have a subscription to Simply Knitting which is great and has lots of patterns - my faves are the toy patterns by Alan Dart - he's a legend :D

There are lots of books that will have the basics somewhere in them, so it's best to just browse the bookshelves and get one with a lot of patterns that you like!

I also recommend joining Ravelry (www.ravelry.com) which is a website for knitters/crocheters etc as there are lots of very knowledgeable people on there

I lost my job yesterday :(

3 of us (out of a team of 5) got made redundant. And the worst thing is is that we haven't even paid for December yet, let along any other monies due. We said we'd go in on Monday to sort the paperwork and hand stuff over, and then just left yesterday at lunchtime. How crap. Ive actually got work that I need to do, but can't be bothered. It will be made official on Monday. S now I don't know what to do about my TTC plans  Anyway, enough from me, onwards and upwards I guess :(

Hugs and sticky baby dust to all x

That's a rotten thing to happen to you that close to the New Year, did you know that there were difficulties?

Anyways, Happy New Year to you all, as has already been said, you are a lovely bunch on here and have been a great comfort to many of us that have been through difficult times.

I've got my fingers crossed (but nothing else ;)) that we all get our very sticky BFPs this year - we all deserve them.
  • Happy new year everyone! I hope that it's filled with love, luck and happiness for you all! (and of course bfp's all round!) x:p

    Thanks girls.

Unfortunately I'll be lucky if i get December's pay, let alone a pay off! I'm going to work out everything Im owed (notice, holiday, redundancy pay) over the weekend so i can present it on Monday. The writing was on the wall really when we all took a pay cut in May :(

Ive tentatively searched online, and now I'm even more confused!! I need to do a list I think!

Luckily, we hadnt booked our flights yet for our week in vermont for a couple of weeks. We are going to spend a few days at Eurodisney instead :j

Wishing you all a successful 2010 - god knows we all deserve it x

    Hi Ladies

I am in shock at moment, just got back from hospital and I am still pregnant !!! Lovely doctor and she spent ages with us and after a very through examination said there is no sign that I have miscarried.

She spent a long time looking through my already vast notes (and I am only 5 weeks today!) she said if it were not for my low hcg levels she said my scan was so good she would of sent me home told me not to worry and maybe I was just going to experience a heavish bleed whilst pregant as many do.

So she has told me to come home and rest and I am back on the 8th for my 3rd scan. We discussed the issues with the hcg but the positive scan as well. She said I could still miscarry yet but have not done so far..So all I can say is this baby is a fighter. I feel crap at the moment but very happy now.

Sammy_girl I am so sorry to hear about your job, what rotten luck.

LilDevil - I think I will try some of those knitting ones :)

Hope all you ladies get the BFPs soon :)

Oh Penny, that's positive news! I know it's hard, but do as she says and try and relax and loads of PMA for your scan next week. I shall keep everything crossed for you. You have a fighter there, so be strong for your little bean :)
