Hi everyone,
Did I read correct a couple of pages back that for testing you should wait til pee is room temperature?
Another question for anyone using them. Do you get a slow build up to positive or are they negative one day and positive the next.
We had the all clear to try again after our screening tests at the miscarriage clinic and wondering whether to try them out.
Off back to lurk again.

Thanks for all your replies about the painkiller issue, I do think it may be an idea to give them a miss for a couple of months just to see what happens, I have a vague recollection that the last AF before I got pg I hadn't taken any!!
DH looked up prozac on the internet (he's the one that's supposed to be taking them) and apparently taking them can reduce production by about 30%   so he's going to Dr tomorrow to see if there are any alternatives that won't hamper our chances.
Sir Monster, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Nichart, sorry that you're leaving us, but I hope all goes well with IVF.0 -
winnie72, that was me. Haven't used the ov sticks yet, but that's the instructions on the packets I got (cheapies from ebay). We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0

Hi sir monster, sorry I read your post wrong thinking you thought AF was coming, forgetting you had got your BFP already. Fingers crossed it is all ok, thinking of you xxx
winnie72, its does say on my tests that you need to let the pee come to room temp, not sure if you need to for all of them (I don't really wait long given it is just a bit of fluid and the cup is already cold etc, just finish on the loo then dip).
On the build up, again I'm not sure, but I know you can get a faint line and it is still a positive. This is because you wouldn't have any hCG in your body if you weren't pg (or at least had been recently in the case of chemical pregnanies where you have a very early miscarriage).
oops - I didn't read the title of your post and thought you meant pg test - in fact clearly didn't read the post right at all - doh!Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -

I always used to get a faint line (negative) every day until I got the positive (remember line has to be the same or darker than the test line)
I'm 99% sure it didn't say on my instructions to leave wee to cool down
I don't do them anymore though so can't check instructions.

Maddie, I read your last post then quite quickly and thought you said you had got a positive, was soooo excited for you, then re-read and realised I'm just stoopid! could be an omen though?

Hi Jennyfleur.
If you have recurrent miscarriages they can do some tests to see if there is a reason. As I'm over 35 they referred after 2 but its usually 3.0 -
Thanks for you kind words, but seems is not to be. Obviously gutted, but not much can do about this and got to move on to ttc again when this clears.
Hope everyone else's is sticky and hope to get my BFP again!Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces
