right girlies, I'm back from my first reflexology appointment.

It was a bit short due to filling in forms and talking etc but it is the first of four (free from work) and possibly more if the reflexologist thinks I need it.

I didn't know what to expect so went in with an open mind. Told her about the two MC this year and she was really lovely (while my eyes leaked a bit).

Generally had a good look and noted bits on a chart then had a good poke, prod and press about my feet. Gave the pituitary gland a good squeeze (back of big toes) and did spine, shoulders, womb and ovaries all through my feet!

She picked up some issues with my left shoulder, tension in the neck and spine but said the spine could be AF related.

Next week she will do more but I'm just going to go with the flow and see what happens. It's quite relaxing and although a bit sore at parts, I think I was tensing my legs a bit but I was trying not to.

Anyone else who has reflexology, what did you think?

    Katy x

Hi ya everyone thank you for newby welcome.

Sorry I can't help there Katy but thank you so much for the info, I have been thinking of trying reflexology as have problems with my shoulder and if it could help with obtain a BFP then in my book its worth a go. It just amazes me they can tell so much just from your feet!!! Was it strange?

Ah Twinklie use your feminine charms! And if that doesn't work show him this thread as to how long it's taken/taking some of us! Mind you if you did get him to change his mind and did get pg would you not feel sad going through your pg without him for so much?

Yeah I would. And God forbid if anything bad happened! I'd be on my own and he would never forgive himself. Still doesn't stop me wanting one...but I will try and be grown up.

Still, Mrs Claus will be making a return anyway - I got it from Anne Summers online. ;)

No problem:) and (hopefully she won't mind me saying) but I think Smartie has Crohns or something similar so she might be able to help with any questions relating to that?!

    :eek:You're lucky I'm so forgiving:p Of course I don't mind you saying;)

Oooh, I did wonder and to be honest that is partly why I mentioned it - in case anybody else had experience they could share. I realise it's a delicate subject for some though, so if anybody is happy to PM me then that would be incredibly appreciated.

Can't wait to join all you lovely ladies on here :D

Yes I have naughty Crohns :( Got the all clear from the consultant to TTC but as my Crohns is always very active the chances of MC and then still birth are very high. I'm also on immunosuppresents (spelling?) which if I stop taking I would have NO chance of getting pg so any little bean has the risk from those tablets as well :(

BUT I like to prove the medical profession wrong (as I have already done - I've gone from nearly dead to amazingly well:D:D:D) and I will go on to have a healthy little bean;):j

Each person is different so I hope your path to TTC is an easy one;):) PM me with any particular question or ask on here... I'm not shy about discussing ANYTHING on here:rotfl:(Although we may get told off if we start discussing certain medical things:rolleyes:)

I've just had pizza hut with a friend... followed by yummy choc cheesecake:D (to get my energy up for more BDing of course;))

Well ladies good evening. Welcome to all the newbies so many new names to try and remember!
Tinkwings I'm sure you haven't upset or offended anyone. I think the thing to always remember on this thread is there will be good times, bad times and some really really crap times for everyone on here and unfortunately they'll all be different times for everyone. My New Years resolution is to take hope and happiness from everyone's bfp's no matter how big the green eyed monster is!
And on that note ladies sadly you didn't cross everything hard enough as af arrived at lunchtime today! It's a bummer and I'm a bit peeved but on the positive side I've just had a 15 1/2 day lp as opposed to 12 so that's good! On the other good front I can get legless over xmas (thought we try the chavs approach to conception! :rotfl:) even though I don't normally drink I intend to over xmas! I can also have lovely brie and canembert! And I can also enjoy bd'ing with dh without feeling tired because of work etc. We're going to give the cbfm a miss this month too as I only have 1 month of sticks left and I'm going to save them for next cycle when both of us can have a reflexology treatment. So we're taking xmas off and just going to try every couple of days throughout the holidays and see what happens. (I predict nothing!)
Katy I had reflexology a couple of weeks ago and was amazed at what she could tell me (read back about a dozen or so pages!) , but she also told me I was in full working order so that renewed my hope again. Definately doing it again next month. Out of interest my reflexologist said to treat for fertility she needs to do treatment around ov time which made sense to me with what she did, not sure if yours has said anything similar?

2010 is gonna be the year for us;):D:D:D

    Becs - hugs for you.

Katy - I used to have reflexology (not for ttc, just for general wellbeing) and I loved it. I think it depends how you get on with the reflexologist but mine was almost like a counsellor too, she was a great listener and very wise. I've moved now so don't go. DH thinks it's a load of rubbish but I don't care!

I am struggling with FF, I like the idea but my temp is literally all over the place, think because I've not always temped at the same time each day and tend to do it before I get up rather than when i first wake up. e.g today I first woke at 6am but took it just before i got up at 7.15am, was dozing inbetween... It just says 'ovulation not detected' which is making me :(. CM has been more helpful I think. It's only my first month so maybe it will get easier.

Like others if AF comes (due Xmas eve) we will enjoy Christmas, drink a reasonable amount and not concentrate too much on ttc, just have fun. I found out today I've passed my probation and work and I'll hear confirmation of my contract being extended from July (was only a year originally) in Jan...this is really important as if they don't confirm it and I am lucky enough to get pg we'll be in a mess!

Awww Rach :-( I feel your pain. My FF hasn't detected OV either this month.

I've been quite ill with a cold - does anyone know if this would stop me OV'ing or is it just that it hasn't been detected on FF?

I'm just about sick & tired of all this. We've tried so hard (as have many of you guys) and got nowhere (ditto you guys) and we've completed 4 months now and will be into our 5th soon. My SIL was telling me at the weekend "don't worry, it took us 3 attempts to fall with ours" it then transpired she had no idea you could only get PG certain days in the month so it was a total bloody fluke anyway!

I'm sick of people telling me it'll happen when it happens, or don't worry about it and it'll happen.

It's been so easy for just about everyone we know and I thought it would be that easy for us too.

My PMA appears to be AWOL. If anyone sees it can you send it back please?

  • Hey Everyone,

Firstely many congratulations to all that got their BFP (Cougette and Tingwinks sorry if i missed anyone else). What a exciting time and i hope you all have very very sticky beans!!!

Welcome to any newbies who have recently joined liked me, i have had a scan over the last few pages.

Had a rubbish day yesterday, as it was supposed to be my 12 weeks scan which didn't happen due to my miscarriage in Nov. Anyways it was inb my mind but completely forget i had written it in my diary so a big shock sitting on the train went to look at the week and saw that.

It really upset me and kinda set the tone for the day. I got annoyed at everything: my OH for forgetting that it was meant to be my scan date. My work collegues for being so happy was i was soo down. The weather for beinbg soo cold... you get my drift.

Anyway i was having a chat with a old friend last night and that made me feel better just to cry and talk about it. Then i felt very bad for being soo moody all day.

So anyway onwards and upwards. According to mmc i won't ovulate until new year and won't test until mid jan, so until then i am on a health kick. As looking in the mirror today i thought i look pregnant even though i am not. The weight has crept on and i am going to get it off. Get my body ready to carry my own little bean for 9 months.

    Anyway enough of my ramblings.

Have a lovely evening and i will check in with you all tomorrow!
