Mennie... you say you had a positive but no more??? When you did the test did you wait a while before the line came up because maybe it was whats called an evaporation line? (A false positive) Or you could of had a chemical pregnancy. Thats what I had but I started spotting a few days after positive test then bleed heavily.BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -

Well to update on my situation
AF due today but no sign, did a clearblue digital test on Saturday and it said pregnant 1-2 weeks, went to the nurse today to get booked in and when she tested she said it was definitly negative, asked for a blood test and she obliged so I should know more tomorrow but I'm really stressing
I have no bleeding whatsoever not even spotting, I've been getting the feeling of things moving about down there ( obviously not a baby but maybe uterus etc getting ready also from under my bust to my belly button has been feeling like I've been to the gym, remember this feelng from when I was preg with my son, must be stretching muscles etc )
In Sept I came off the pill, in mid October I had a positive test then Af was a few days late - they put it down to early miscarriage and did no further investigation, loads of negatives between October and November so I know it's not connected with the miscarriage
I beginning to wonder if there's something wrong with me - maybe creating false positives
If the blood test turn out negative I'll be in an asylum for Xmas
Just about ready for the looney bin MLSLBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
MLSL... blimin eck! AF due today and you already went to get booked in???
(My doctor said if I get a BFP don't phone up/go in until around 7 weeks...and that's with me needing an early scan) Those clearblue digi's aren't the greatest of tests to do BEFORE AF is due. Think a lot of us on here know NOT to test early;)
Hope you get some answers with the blood test and don't stress too much about it.BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
I though I was doing the right thing going in early with the swine flu jab and all to get, no one ever told me to leave it so long, I just happened to have the day off today and I'm not off until Feb and with where I work it isn't easy getting time off ( also heavy lifting is a feature of my job I can't really do a maternity risk assesment until I have had a confirmed positive ), also I am a smoker who is desperately trying to give up and I think a confirmed positive would help my resolve. I am aware early testing can give false negatives but I though you couldnt get a false positive - I have alot to learn.
Maybe someone else will learn from my mistake !!
I'm just wondering now if I am pregnant will the blood test show it or is it too early
(Bloody early testing kits giving false hope )Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
Hi MLSL, ((((hugs)))) for you - how stressful! Hopefully the doc's blood test will come back with a positive
. Keeping my fingers crossed. I've given up with early pg tests - worst £10 I ever spent lol.
You are right though - with the early response tests a BFN can be false, but if you get a BFP then that is usually correct.
But you're still in the game if AF hasn't arrived yet. Good luck and keep us updated x0 -

No it wasnt an evap line, It was a FR test and the pink line came up straight away, but it was faint.
I will test again tomorrow morning and then explain it all at the hosp. I have a few pregnancy symptoms.
I also have really swollen glands on my lower back that really hurt, I am just so scared I am having another missed mc2014 = New Year, New Me0 -

It looks like we are in the same boat, except I am now 10 days late and tested positive 4 days late but have tested negative everyday since then.
Good Luck with your blood test. I really hope the test they used was just not sensitive enough. I have had 3 mc's. 2 of them missed and I think that is what is happening to me again. As I feel pg and at 10 days late I should be testing positive.
I have an app with the fertility specialist tomorrow for my first investigations so will see if he can shed any light2014 = New Year, New Me0 -
hello all
May I join the thread? I'm usually to be found with the flyladies on old style but I am now ttc.
A few bits about me, I'm 31 (almost 32), married almost 2 years, have pcos. I work full time and commute about 1h15 mins each way, which makes me rather tired! I'm a bit overweight but walk a lot and eat pretty healthily as I'm wheat intolerant.
This is our first month of ttc, and i'm not sure how this thread works. Despite pcos, since coming off the mini pill (cerazette, where i had no AF for over a year) I have had regular AFs, cycle 26 days (25 last month). Signs seemed to be that i'm ovulating with the mucus etc so my endocrinologist said he doesn't want to medicate me until we know if there's a prob getting pg. I've been tracking my temp this month but have realised i've been doing it wrong as was getting up and going into the kitchen to do it, so need to start taking it before I get out of bed. What I'm not really clear about is when fertile time is, but am just having lots of sex! Am also taking some folic acid and conception vits.
So any advice welcome, AF is due Christmas eve.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
