Just wanted to add my congratulations to the latest graduates of the thread - I think I got up to here:
    Sir Monster, hobo123, Catw0man

justmarried I still think my DH prefers it when I pretended to not be bothered about BDing rather than jumping on him! I wonder if it's 'cos he likes a challenge? It's weird though when you know you need to go for it and they can't be bothered. Then they moan that it's not happening. I noticed my DH really didn't want to know any details about timing etc. but there were times when we BD just for fun if you get me and he would be like 'maybe this time' and I'd be thinking 'not a chance' knowing when I OV etc.

Well done on the xmas shopping smartie I have got a few more to get but am stuck. It's mainly mens presents I struggle with. I have managed to win a few this year though too so it's all good!

Welcome to any newbies and Hi! to everyone else. I can't believe it's November. I go to pick up my test results today officially from the doctors as they can't accept the BFPs I have done at home on CD, FR and Ebay cheapies lol! I can then book an appointment in and get my free prescriptions card and on to the scan waiting list. (Really hope it's before xmas.) I think I am 6 weeks now so it blimming well should be! Just keeping fingers crossed it's a sticky one as ***TMI** I've been having a little bit of brown sticky stuff since the weekend and every twinge is making me nervous. I always knew I'd be terrified after MC though.

Sorry, it's a long one but just wanted to wish everyone well and send you all some positive vibes etc.

    Katy x

My DH is totally the same, doesn't want to know about dates and stuff, and think he probably likes the challenging BDing! I told him the other day what we call sex on here (BDing) and he was not impressed at all, think that actually may have put him off!!

What did you win, and very best of luck for the docs, I'm sure the scan will be b4 xmas! Broen sticky stuff apparently is old blood, so try not to woory! Easier said than done I know! :o

hello, I've got my scan booked for tomorrow to check everything has gone, really hoping I dont need an erpc after all, bleeding has pretty much stopped so will be trying again soon. I have a sick note to pick up from the doctors for 2 weeks so dont need to worry about work for a little while which i think helps with the ttc. Just want to put this all behind us now so we can move on.

Good luck Merfe, I'll be thinking if you honey!! :A

Afternoon all. Not much to report in SK land really. FF still telling me I was way off  but i'm over worrying about it tbh. As far as I'm concerned, I'm due on on Friday as I've always had a 28 day cycle so i'll keep my testing date the same and just see what happens. I was a right moody cow on Saturday and Sunday which ties in with my usual PMT times so I don't think we've caught this month.

Probably as well really since I sat down with the finances on Sunday. Ever wished you hadn't bothered and could just keep your head in the sand? lol.

Anyway, Sammy_girl's just reminded me about lunch lol, so i'd best shoot off and eat something. No idea what as the roast beef & horseradish sarnie I made for today is still sat on my bed in the bag with my other food bits for today

    Babydust all round

Hi Jenny, I hope your day is going well :)

I made this mistake last week with DH - told him all the stuff I'd learned on here - wish I never bothered cos it was way too technical for him lol

Afternoon all - I think I should start with a come-down warning as I am feeling incredibly unhappy today :( You know those days when everything just seems terrible and you feel really angry even though not much has changed since yesterday?

I started off in a good mood, did another test as planned - BFN. The negative test didn't upset me, but OH really did. Just before I did the test he asked me how long you are pregnant for (ie 9 months) and ok I know he is terrible with that sort of thing and even forgets what day of december christmas is etc - but it just made me feel like he isn't taking really with me on this if you know what I mean. When I came in with the dipped test ready to start waiting for the result he asked me how late I was and when I said 1 day he said - nothing to get excited about then or something like that. Then on it being negative he said I was spoiling it all for him and taking all the fun out of it etc

I just rolled over and carried on reading my book. It annoys me so much that I am just trying to control my stress over this etc, and testing regularly works for me, and yet I get told off for spoiling his fun. I know what he means as he is never enthusiastic and excited about the testing, but thats not my fault.

Well this just seems to have set me off in a terrible mood for the day. I stayed upstairs reading until about 1:30 and we didn't say anything at all to each other until then.

He spent the whole time playing on computer games and chatting to friends. When I came downstairs I put a wash on, loading the dishwasher, opened the post etc etc. I am not specifically angry at what he said this morning but just the whole situation whereby I seem to take responsibility for the vast majority of cleaning, all the dealing with bills and money etc and work full time in a difficult job, whilst he is unemployed.

When I'd finally calmed down a bit I suggested we could arrange to go and collect a wardrobe from my sister but it turned out he had a friend coming round in 5min to play computer games and watch the footie. He'd arranged it in the morning as he didn't want to waste his day!!

This made me boil up inside again and when his friend came over I had to carry all my work stuff back upstairs so I could get away from them and perhaps achieve some work or at least just fume on here!

Oh and also whilst I was crying at him and trying to explain why I am so angry he said he thought we should stop trying because it is making me too stressed - its not the TTC - its him grrrr!

Sorry - i could probably have bypassed all that by just saying I'm angry at OH . And yes its true that he is always like this but it doesn't usually bother me this much - I'm definately hormonal but that doesn't mean I'm in the wrong.
Proud to be a moneysaver!
  • bless our OH's!!! They'll never really get it will they! x

I can't tell you how much better I feel for just having written that down!

  • Maddie I totally know how you're feeling! About 6 months ago(2months into ttc) my DH was the same....drove me mental so I stopped telling him things and stopped telling him I was testing and tested in the toilet downstairs. He even made a similar comment "no point getting your hopes up" Up to you how you handle it but I found for us, me keeping quiet about it all really helped, turned out DH didn't want to be involved as I 1st thought and it 'ruined' the excitement of it all, I think because it's the major changes happening to us we want to be as in control as we can, whereas, to put it crudely:o, they deposit whats needed and forget about it:rolleyes:
Only now(after almost 9months) DH is becoming interested in things and thats mainly coz he thought we'd be expecting by now...bless him, he thought it'd be a wham-bam-jobsagood'un:rolleyes::)

I suppose what I'm trying to say is find out how involved your DH wants to be(except from the obvious!) and take it from there:D

HTH and if not, at least you know it's not just you its happened to:) xxx
