I will try the ov sticks..it is only the 2nd month I've tried so I know I shouldnt get so hung up. Think I'm just scared that at 36 it's going to be a lot harder than I thought. A friend of mine who is also trying to get preg told me that a dr told her that women our age conceive within 2 years
But thanks for the kind words..I've just had a nice hot bath and am feeling a bit better.
OH is away till Sunday. I'm seeing my best friend tomorrow night and staying over at her place so that'll be cool...its only this evening that I'm on my tod, and we have just had SKY installed so reckon I'll just veg out and watch some crappy tv
...and keep popping the anadin...AF has come with a vengance this month!
MV sending hugs I am 36 to:eek: I have been on high & lows about my age & eggs etc etc .....at the end of the day our bodies are out of our control as we all know on here. I am trying the Ov stick thing this month in the hope it will help! Fingers Crossed. :AIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
**confuzzled** wrote: »Moneysaver ((((HUGS)))) to you hun. I can completely empathise with you:( What cycle are you on?? I'm on cycle 9(I think!sounds better than 10 so I'm sticking with it:p) It is hard and unfair, especially when you're doing everything you possibly can.
For me the best way to cope is to make light of the situation and to try and remain positive, totally easier said than done I know.
Sorry if thats a ramble but I wanted you to know that you're definitely not alone:)
xxxxxxx
Thankyou hun. Its nice to be able to talk to people who understand. I think its cycle 5 now. This will be my 6th af. I still have not got af, still getting the cramping pains and now my nipples are sore.Married 09/09/090 -
Hi All,
Not a sucessful day for me today as I've been poorly sick with a bad tummy and had to call in sick, not good as I've loads to do before Christmas and its starting to stress me out a bit. However, theres a lack of PMA on the board at the mo so I'll try to stay upbeat
Penny35 I don't have a cbfm myself can't help much but could it be that you didn't ovulate ths cycle? I think it's normal for that to happen occassionly and it a 20 day cycle is unusual I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Confuzzled I think I read you should be able to poke your finger into the dint in your cervix if its open...just checked my book and it says its 'dimple' opens a little until its big enough to put the tip of your fingle into gently.
earthgirl congratulations on your faint positive - are you testing again tomorrow?
Sammy you said you use FMU for OPKs - actually you are best to do OPKs mid afternoon as you OV around this time so this is when your most likely to pick up the hormone surge. Also the info you posted said its best not to BD for a while for the best semen when you're fertile, however there is conflicting advice on this. I've also read that if you do this then the quality of sperm won't be as good, and after all there is apparently about 250 million sperm cells in each ejactulation (sp?) and you only need one after all.
moneysaver sorry you're feeling down. It does take time as you only have a small chance each cycle (although that does mean there will always be some lucky ones who catch first try). Has AF showed yet? If not there is still a chance this cycle as the tests can take a while to show as positive. The best thing you can do is take your mind off it as much as possible, but that is very hard to do I know. Sometimes getting engrossed in a book helps me, or just doing lots of things with friends and family and getting out of the house.
I think I'm in the 2ww now, although I don't know when I ovulated as the sticks were never +ive, didn't notice any ewcm and my temps are fairly erratic anyway. Until last night (when I felt too poorly) we BD'd 5 nights in a row, so hopefully I've got a good chance this month. Please please please :A
Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -

moneysaver12 you are the same as me then - I'm on my 6th cycle too, had no idea it would take this long when we started trying back in May!

evening ladies
My little lad is cooking me biscuits (seems to have recovered from being left on the doorstep for two hours). Very grateful that it's friday again, we've had performance management this week so quite stressful. I got a satisfactory in my observation which is okay but I would have liked a good if I'm honest. Sorry, know that only means anything to the teachers on here!
CD9 here and as I have quite short cycles I need to start getting busyHubby is off work all weekend too so hope we should be able to get some bding in (if DS is asleep that is, it's becoming a bit of a problem really, he's still awake quite often when I go up to bed and I'm afraid an awake 11 year old in the next room doesn't really do it for either of us ).
On the subject of months trying this is cycle 6 for me too but for lots of reasons I'm counting it as cycle 2 which makes me feel better about it all. One of the other teachers had her baby on Weds, another went off on ML today and another is suddenly showing (I've been eyeing her up in an is she/isn't she way for a couple of weeks).
Gonna pay a chunk off the mortgage tomorrow, very excited! :jUpdating soon...0
