This is my second ( 14 + 3 ) and because the feeling if familar it seems that 2nd/3rd time round we feel it earlier.
My tips would be lie on the bed / in the bath just relaxing and thats normally when I start to feel flutters as apparently the baby sleeps when your walking about and the feeling are so light that during a busy day of work/cleaning it would be easy to miss.
Hope you feel bubs soonBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -

I just started feeling flutterings towards the end of 18 weeks - felt as though I was being tickled by my clothes. My placenta is infront of baby as well which can mean you take longer to feel it - possibly you're the same. Carried on with the light tickling for a few weeks but didn't get proper kicks until 22 weeks + I think.
My bump is really tight and painful at the moment. It's worse when I'm walking and fine if I'm sitting down. Do you think that's braxton hicks? (30 wks tomorrow) I have to walk really slowly and keep upper body dead straight.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -

Yeah for the past couple of weeks I've been patiently waiting to feel something while laying in bed or in the bath, but absolutely nothing. Maybe it's like watching the telephone waiting for it to ring, it just won't ring while you keep on watching it0 -
When I first felt him move I was relaxing, chatting to my friend at her house (so not concentrating on feeling movements) and drinking tea. Hot drinks always used to set him offMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0

:hello: Hi Kindof! Yes Alfie is generally very well behaved. He's such a cutie. I think he may have developed thrush in his mouth though
Just about to look into what I can do about it.

I was thinking that I would want to eat during labour at home, and was quite looking forward to being able to (as some hospitals aren't keen on it) but I didn't want to. I ate a slice of toast when my contractions forst started and never even thought about eating after that. After the birth I was given tea and toast and was starving! I was glas i'd packed a couple of cereal bars. I wouldn't bother with fruit salad or sandwiches or anything else that wouldn't keep well. Bananas and packaged stuff would be better.
As for OH I'd just ask him what he wants. And like you say it should be relatively easy for him to get something from a vending machine or somewhere local.ymakesmile wrote: »I really wish I could feel my little bean (i'm 18+2) but I'm positive i haven't felt a thing yet
I didn't feel anything for sure until about 20 weeks. My bump is really tight and painful at the moment. It's worse when I'm walking and fine if I'm sitting down. Do you think that's braxton hicks? (30 wks tomorrow) I have to walk really slowly and keep upper body dead straight.
Could be BHs at any stage really. Does your bump feel hard to the touch? If so then I'd say they ar BHs.0
