hi ladies and bumps
Trying to do a bit of budgeting for the next round of baby clothes we need, only 4 more pay days (including this month) so need to be a bit organised.
Clothes question - what do you all think about Asda baby clothes, especially the basics? Do they wash well? I know Next ones do and I'm trying to figure out if buying some bits at Asda would be worth the £3-5 price difference for basic sets (i.e. 5 packs of vests) or whether the value is in buying things a wee bit dearer so they wash better. Any ideas?
Also, for quantities, how many of things like vests/sleepsuits/basic tops and bottoms do you all anticipate needing? In the meantime, I've gone for the bare minimum in newborn/up to one month (about 5 of each until we know how big he's going to be) and maybe about 10 of each plus actual clothes for each stage over that. Too much? Too little?
I really have no baby experience at all!0 -
Totally i have 3 pairs and i live in them.
I hope the pains go away unless you want to go into labour then i will send you loads of vibes x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -

Hi
I always get Asda stuff especially for the basics, sleepsuits, vests, socks etc...I have never had any problems and most of their clothes are brilliant too:) As for quantities what you've got sound fine. Even smallish babies grow so quickly they aren't in newborn very long and move into 0-3 quite soon.

Its hard to say, it depends on how much washing you want to do? I dont like washing much so I have quite a few I reckon, I am trying to think how many I have, I think we have about 20 sleepsuits and about 30 vests (0-3 months), but we were given a lot of them, and he has loads of clothes as well (again given) I dont think he is going to get through it all lol
But I am totally newbie to babies as well and I only just discovered that they are meant to wear a bodysuit under clothes and sleepsuits so maybe 30 isnt bad lol
Xmas - 3 pairs of the same jeans lol? they are great though, Erm I think I will take labour vibes thanks lol OH doesnt want them, he panics at every pain I get, totally freaked last night when I said beany will be here in 4 weeks (cos they only let you go two weeks over) and every night before bed he's like no going into labour tonight baby please lol
Ok Hamster is all cleaned out, he loves a fresh cage lol
Did anyone watch the dancing for sports relief?

love the bump pics ladies...I must get DH to start taking them of me. Hard for me to know if you can tell with me yet - have moved up a size in jeans - was handy as I had some in a 16 from before I'd lost a bit of weight. Am basically living in comfy stuff as much as poss and bought some longer tops. I need to keep hidden for 3 more weeks at work at least, then i have a week off. I'm still waiting for written confirmation of my contract being extended for a year from July, can't let them know before I've had that..
ETA: Just said to DH 'I need you to start taking bump photos of me'...he thought I meant naked ones and was like 'it's a bit embarrassing for the kid...'Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
