Managed to find my notes in the end - had to ring OH for directions to them though
So wish I was more organised! Appointment was fine - he's now 4/5 engaged which is apparently why I thought his head had disappeared, because it's right below my pelvis, eek! Wish I knew this was a sign that he'd be making an appearance sometime next week :rotfl: Measuring at 37 so still just a week ahead, think I'll be really shocked if he's not massive though. MW was laughing at my bump band as she asked if I'd got it for support and I said no, I'm just too cheap to buy maternity wear so I bought them so I could wear normal clothes
Ohhhhh can you use bump bands as a support band? cos I could so do with that lol, my belly feels so heavy, its really hard to hold up sometimes
I am pleased you found your notes
So he is 4/5 engaged does that mean he only has 1/5 to go???
Has your MW given you any indication of size?
Sorry for all the questions, I have my 36 week appointment tomorrow lol
EA - I find figuring out the weekly meals better then seeing what ingrediatns I need to get in to cook them
Thanks Jillie
SS yeah its stupid isnt it, its called challenge 25, OH doesnt want to cut the cord, I wonder if he will change his mind about that
EA its annoying isnt it, I was on the phone to tiscali for 15 mins on a 0845 number, I finally got through to them to cancel broadband, I moved out in April and have been paying £18 a month to them, apparasntly they will refund me which is great, just need to send prrof of o2 supplying me at new address
Som its a mare lol I would have had to do it tomorrow if i'd not done it today cos MIL and FIL are coming for me tomorrow to take me to MW, I wish I didnt have to rely on them, but its half an hour walk to drs (which I know I could do after bean is born) which I cant do with this heavy bump, and OH cant get off work early to come
Ohhhhhh fishdom sounds interesting, stupid flipping work
EA LOL I woud have laughed at her as well lol
Well I have a chicken pasta bake in the oven yay, OH is weird though, he doesnt like pasta bakes (chicken, pasta, cheese, tomato sauce) but he wouldnt mind if I made pasta in the pan, then cooked the chicken in sauce in another pan then mixed them together then put cheese on

Just settling down to watch Masterchef The Professionals.....I love masterchefWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Haha to your OH! Do a pasta bake one day without telling him and see if he eats it. Thats how i get OH to eat things
He claims he doesn't like sheppards pie, but i tell him he does as he eats it all the time when i cook it, then tells me how much he enjoyed it afterwards lol.
I've got MW on Friday and will have to walk to the clinic at my doctors which is like 30 mins away. And i know it will kill me, i cant walk anywhere without getting backpain and BH's and an achey pelvis. And i know once bubs is out i will be fine cause i used to be able to walk for ages and not get any pains lol.0 -
:(:(
I burst into tears when the lady told me my results were high. My glucose tolerance test showed that I have no tolerance and have gestational diabetes. I spent three hours at the hospital, seeing various people.
The diabetes nurse wouldn't go into details, said I have to come back thursday when they can explain things in detail, for now I just have to take it in... I'll have a different doctor now, I'll be measuring my blood four times a day , get a scan every month, including one today (cherub cheeks and no, his willy has not fallen off - this is what my dad wants as he would like a granddaughter :rotfl:). And I got given a leaflet full of things I never eat that will constitute my diet??? And another leaflet that says things like 'it usually goes away', 'probable cs', 'still birth in late pregnancy'. So glad they didn't check my blood pressure .
And now I feel hungry. Had lunch but am really craving something sweet!:wall:0 -

Yep, only 1/5 to go, not far! Though not getting my hopes up as I know they can go in and out, or be engaged for weeks!
Midwife reckons he'll be about 8.5/9lb if he's on time, based on scans and having a feel of him. Said they can't really know but because I'm tall and baby has always measured big, he's unlikely to be average size!
My OH was relatively keen on cord cutting til he saw a video of it the other day, think it was all a bit too real for him! Though he said he'll wait and see at the time, and decide when they ask (gonna write in my notes for them to check with him).
Ooh Kindof I'd give the walk a go - might get Elliot moving downI find wearing a bump band and tighter clothes helps support bump a bit.
How annoying GuineaGood on you for carrying on working whilst you feel able, I'd have carried on til the last minute if claiming MA wasn't such a pain in the bum!
Lol Som I love Jedward, they're hilarious!Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
Hmm...dunno then Twinkles, I know Gemma's waters leaked for a while so they induced her but that's all I remember?
Agutka try not to worry too much - my mum had diabetes when she was pregnant with my younger sis & she was just fineOnce you get used to taking your blood it will be fine hun, and think of all the extra opportunities to see baby
Lol EA & Kindof - I am just like your OH's :rotfl: I can't eat food that I can't see, like a pasty grosses me out because I can't see the content, and if I eat a curry/stew, I won't eat the meat because it's gone a different colour so I can't tell if it's nice or not :rotfl: I told OH's mum once that her shepherds pie looked and smelt like dog food, she didn't take it well :rotfl:Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
Mmmm....that sounds so... yummy Kindof :P I wanna pasta bake but we've got some mince out and having spag bowl. Wel OH and son are as I've started to go off the whole 'mince beef thing' recently. Dunno what I'm doing yet?
I've been doing the 'weekly meal plan' in advance since seeing you ladies mentioning it on hereWe're been saving quite a few pennies, well chuffed! I used to just buy whatever i came across and fancied and spent silly amounts. So much better now
