Gymfiend - thankfully boss was fab with it, I am off tomorrow, I will be here on friday, and then if BP is still up I am off sick next week, then start my 4 weeks annueal leave then mat leave, eek that bean is engaged I hope he stays there

I'd ask if I were you EA I've asked a couple of times when I've been 2 weeks ahead to be told it's 5, only to be told yesterday I should've been sent - worth asking I think as some midwives are either stuck in the past or just not interested I've found!!

p.s. we've got 2 cats, worried sick about how they'll be as they're indoor cats who can open doors and love to sleep with us, eek!

I'll ask on Friday at the GTT, my MW said she's not due to see me until 36weeks now.

OH is trying to get the day off to come with me as i dont know where the maternity unit is in the hospital lol. Its been newly built and i went there once for my scan but we got lost, and OH has a good memory for directions. Also i dont want to be sat alone for 2 hours waiting for my next blood test.

Jools cant open our bedroom door, it jams slightly hehe. Though he managed to get in yesterday, and i dont know how..... *dubious* :rotfl:

EA/Smartie - we have 2 cats who are also like our babies and i have no idea what they are going to be like when bean arrives. They go outside a lot in the summer though so hopefully they won't think it's too weird. Btw I got a brand new cat net for £1.75 in a charity shop recently Smartie so keep your eyes peeled! To be honest I am more worried about when we have a toddler as i think it will terrorise the kitties!!

Nikkit thanks for the pineapple info! It's amazing the stupid myths that get bandied around about pregnancy!

Feeling tons better today and no more bleeding, hurrah :j can't wait to finish work though!

ooh EA take plenty of reading material, water and your DS with you to the hospital - they were the most boring 2 hours of my life when I went!! Hope OH can get the day off to go with you. Also, not sure if yours is the same but our hospital is boiling so I'd wear plenty of layers so you can take them off

How many weeks big were you measuring last time you saw someone? When my mum had my sister 10 years ago, she was diabetic (not gestational, just normal) but sister was born diabetic, she was delivered 2 weeks early because she was expected to be big.

Im taking a small packed lunch i know that lol. I have to not eat from 9pm-9am and can have water only. And then from 9am not eat or drink until i leave hospital. I will be starving a very very thirsty lol.
I might buy a magazine to take to. And definatly my DS

I was measured for the first time at 31weeks and measuring at 38cm.
Then at 33+5 i was measuring 37cm.

They are only concerned cause i had a blood test for my blood sugars which came back 'borderline' and i mentioned being constantly thirsty. Then my doc measured me and it came back at 38cm :eek: and my urine dip stick thingy was +4 for glucose.

Were you always measuring on time before then? It's good that the 33+5 measurement wasn't quite as extreme, hopefully just a rubbish attempt at measuring at 31 weeks?! Or Lily being in a funny position I would still push for a growth scan if I were you, just for an extra peek

Lol good plan with the packed lunch, I took an apple (!!!!!!?!) after not eating from 8pm as mine was at 8am, left just after half 10 and I thought I might pass out in the car from hunger!!
